Try using a different ftp client like was suggested earlier.

never used fiezilla before its opened nd say connected but where do i find ftp etc
-
could this be due to a fault in my image?

hard to say,, can you type the IP in a webbrowser, i.e : 192.168.1.XX:16001 and see if it asks for a user/pass ??
If you still have a previous working backup then you could reflash it -
hi
i have gone into my settings nad got the ip address.
i entered this into the search bar in DCC and it wont connect .
im doing this wirelessly at the moment i will try hard wired to see if that makes a difference. -
Open DCC > Click Telnet > Type passwd > Press enter > Create your own password and follow the on screen instructions > Now try to login with the new password.
-

Try disabling your firewall or Set the ftp-type to "passive" in DCC > Configuration > Experts...
