  • hi all, having some problems with turning on duo, will not turn on with remote and have to reboot box and everything is allright again, this only happens when i get home at night and try to turn it on,one thing that i have notice is the duo is very warm sitting in standby,is this right or should it be cool

  • If the box has been in standby it will always have a slightly warm feel to it, but it should not be hot. Where have you got it sitting? is that space well ventilated? anything sitting below or on top of it?

What image have you got installed? you might need to adjust the fan settings...

  • it is well ventilated with nothing on top or sides and vents at back of unit,i am using bh,only has started to do this in the past week, what should the setting be at in standbymode fancontrol setting,my is fan basic action is off and use fan timer no,thanks

  • What version of BH?? I think the autoshutdown plugin is active, check by pressing the green button, this will show you the plugins installed. If autoshutdown is there check if it is set to on, if it is set it to disable.

  • No wouldn't think so bud, you would need to check power timers etc, something that is putting the box into deep standby or similar.

  • even if the receiver were in deep sleep it would still wake upon command by the remote control.

How old is the receiver ?, it may be showing early signs of the "red light of death".

  • Take off the top cover and give it a gentle dusting,,could be overheating from dust buildup,,
as for deep sleep Bh image 207 + 208, it seem to be quite common as to maintain the idea of using minimum power whilst in standby..
remote control should wake it up by repeatedly pressing several times

  • Ok this is what I would do, try a different image. ViX for example. If the problem ceases then at least that rules out a hardware problem. If you don't like ViX then you can always go back to BH and see if the problem returns. Sometimes it can just be that the image needs reflashed.

  • i'am using bh 2.0.8 and it is only 5 weeks old from w.o.s.

In that case your receiver will have the newer surface mounted capacitors to eliminate the "red light of death" fault, as suggested above try a different image to rule out hardware faults.

In BH main menu you will find epg panel. you can press Blue to remove if you like .
In BH epg I have enabled epg popup notifications, now¨next infobar , epg in channel list, saved in /media/usb/epg.dat.
But I dont have enabled opentv epg loader as I use crossepg too.
