From my own experience, cheap & cheerful performs as well as any other, its a pretty simple piece of hardware.

Made a bit of progress, the switch is working anyway, kinda I changed from 28.2 to 19.2 with it today, but when I tried to go back to 28.2, there was
nothing there. Not sure what I should have the diseqc mode set to 1.0/1.1/1.2 ( switch is 4/1 ), also using this image "Unofficial dream elite v.133dv3
phoenix edition" should it matter. Would appreciate any guidance. -
hello Reddevil157 i think you need diseq 1 or 1.1 ! 1.2is to drive a motor ! a well trusted company that has made diseq switch for a long time is Global ! so check out a Global diseq switch or technomate do a value diseq switch though the housing isn't as good as the global ! depends where its gonna live i suppose but here by the sea i would want a global with a decent water resistant housing !
ALWAYS switch everything off when connecting diseq switches ! The only time i ever broke/spiked one was while trying to connect a box which was turned on ! -
Had a good look round the forums yesterday and it seems a lot of ppl are having hassle with switches. One name that kept on popping up was Spaun, Spaun SAR 411 F - Diseqc-Relais - Spaun, it's said to be the dogs b*ll*x, is this price cheap and cheerful or a rip off, considering I
could get a Technomate for under a tenner and Global is cheaper too.Honestly don't know what to go for.@rikjaard, I had everything turned on when I tried my switch :snicker:
