    Where am I going wrong please?

    • Official Post

    Try using

  • Does everything else look ok? Changed the 00 to 06, still no luck, picture not clearing. I'm assuming I use mgcamd 1.35 as the softcam on my receiver then too?

    • Official Post

    Change the newcamd port to 34001, it must match the port you set on CWS =, not CWS_INCOMING_PORT =, they are separate protocols.

    Code
    [newcamd]
    port = [COLOR='#FF0000']34001[/COLOR]@0963:000000
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    keepalive = 1
    mgclient = 1

    Code
    CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
    CWS_INCOMING_PORT = [COLOR='#00FF00']21000[/COLOR]
    CWS = Ubuntu IP here [COLOR='#FF0000']34001[/COLOR] Mon##### May~~~~~~ 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

    What about the DVB=Api? Do I need to add that anywhere? If so how?

    You dont need to set dvbapi on ubuntu as you are using mgcamd client.

  • Unfortunately still no luck, made the above changes and it's still not clearing. :-(
    I don't need to open any ports do I as was mentioned earlier. Wonder what it is?

  • Ok I get the entitlements bit under reader, I know how to check that, not sure where and how to add an Nline...not done that before on Oscam

    not sure where and how to add an Nline

    You already have an [account] setup in oscam for mgcamd.

    Instead of using;

    Code
    CWS = Ubuntu IP here 34001 Mon##### May~~~~~~ 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

    Add this to newcamd.list;

    Code
    N: Ubuntu IP here 34001 Mon##### May~~~~~~ 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    I you want to use both CWS and N line, then create a new [account] in oscam.user with separate user and pass for each.

    Take a look at the mgcamd log, see if you can find any idea why its not connecting.

    In mg_cfg edit 172.16.1.1 to your dm800 ip address.

    Restart Mgcamd from softcam manager and the log will be active in /tmp/mgcamd.log.

    This log can get big, so its a good idea to disable it after you find any errors.

    Code
    L: { 02 } 172.16.1.1 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log
  • Should I try deleting old softcams off the receiver? I use to run oscam and cccam on my receiver before I switched to Ubuntu, old files still on the receiver?

  • Deleted Oscam files, deleted the softcam. Mgcamd still not clearing channels. Would you like me to send all files or specific files again?

    • Official Post

    Post 15 in this thread i attached the configs already editted, FTP the files to the correct folders, restart oscam and mgcamd, thats all there is too it, i can`t make it any easier than that.

    If mgcamd isnt connecting as a client to oscam then try differant version of mgcamd until you get a connection.

  • Do I need the ECMwhitelist in the reader section? Also the boxid? I honestly have done everything that you said in this thread. I have an option to d/l mgcamd with newcs softcam, not the latest mgcamd softcam you said, thats not in the list mate. my newcamd list looks like this:
