Please help! New Solo2 user wanting a simple setup!

i can already hear the groans, but I have recently bought a solo2 and after messing about with it all day trying different images (blackhole, openvix etc.) I'm only a little closer to getting it how i need it.

I'm a long time sly user and need it as user friendly as possible so i've settled on Open Vix (as i can record from epg and the menu is easier). i have been looking for a preloaded image with everything needed to get a sly like setup and have downloaded *VU+ Solo2 OpenVIX-3.0.683 UK Ready Backup By Ten Below* from this forum.

It's the best I can find for what I want, but i still can't figure out a few things. Firstly, how do i replace all my SD channels with the HD ones? For example, i would like BBC One HD as channel 1 rather than the standard BBC 1 channel. I've been looking around and can't seem to find a way of doing it?

Also, I have a NAS setup at ip address 192.168.0.49 and I don't know how to connect it to the solo2. i have a number of movies (MP4, MKV etc.) and pictures on the NAS drive that i'd like to access through the box but I can't seem to get it connected. I have tried to mount the NAS through the Mount manager but I don't know how to access the files? If someone could explain how I would be grateful!

Hi, thanks. i've managed to sort the channel issue by manually moving the channels into the preferred order, but still need to mount the NAS and access it properly?

I've followed the instructions on the first page you suggested and have now managed to map my NAS, but not in the way i wanted. i downloaded DLNA/uPNP Browser and can now see my NAS, but when I play a movie it plays with a basic player that doesn't allow me to fastforward/rewind or change the audio setting etc. Also, more than half of my MKVs aren't showing up....does the solo2 have playback limitations?

Any guidance from experience would be appreciated!

Hmmm, i doubt my travails are due to the box as it's the software i'm having trouble getting my head around....no worries though, i appreciate your point.
