how can you view webif channels on Android

been trying to get webif to run on android (works fine on windows pc), can see the webif menu but as soon as i go to view a channel it downloads a file with m3u extention.
tried to run this in various media players with no luck. Can anyone help
used Vu+ but that only gave me the same channel as the main tv
