  • A standard *** dish with s small run of coax as described, no more than £40 to £45 quid. it should take a hour max for that kind of install and thats being very generous.

Thanks Bud, Just been quoted £155 haha. Is it better to buy a dish seperate or to buy a dish from the firm installing?

  • Its better to spent nothing but time and do it yourself!
All the tools would cost less than that and you could use an e2 box as signal meter..
Don't part with your hard earned so easily..

    £155, thats surely a joke!
    I bought & installed a T90 with 4 LNB's, cables & switch's for not far off that price..

Even a (friendly) Sly installer would'nt charge more than £50 as a nixer

  • £155 to install a standard dish with two feeds no more than 10 meters in length ?. wow that bloke is having a laugh.

dish size depends on what your intending to do with it, if it's going to be fixed to 28.2 east you need nothing more than a zone 2 sly dish, if it's going to be motorized that where the dish size increases and so does the cost.

Yer as said thats well overpriced to say the least...total ripoff matey.

What will really get most peoples attention is that this particular ripoff merchant may even receive his zone1/2 dishes for free or they may even be purchased cheap as chips from someone.....i can walk in tomorrow and ask for 20 dishes with no questions asked...as a subbie this type of equipment is not monitored....never has been.

Buy the equipment yourself and install it....its not rocket science..even if the word satellite may sway the typical DIY'er......

    Good luck!
