DM8K Tring set up problem.

    I've been trying for months to set up my tring card to share in my DM8000 (using CCcam 209 and NewcS).
    I've had no luck at all until a friend told me about this forum, only problem is
    the images you do are for V+Duo and tring card.


    Ok i use PLi image at the moment and have to use CCcam 2.0.9.
    Happy to change image if it helps.
    I now have Tring card in a DM500 *Cccam/NewCs) and use N line to the Dm8000.


    Has anyone any advice on way to set Tring card up in DM8000 so
    it will be able to share?

    Oscam will read the card but you need a conax cam or use a combination of MGcamd and oscam to update the monthly entitlements. You will need an image that has oscam+CCcam2.1.3 combo if you want to still use CCcam as a server. If you still want to use DM500 as card reader then try this PLI image HERE, it is oscam & CCcam ready then add the Tring oscam configs from HERE.

    Will have a play with oscam+CCcam2.1.3 and see how i get on.
    May take a while but i'm sure i'll get there some how or
    it will be back to the old DM500.


    This is actually something that i thought may well be straight forward to set up.

    I had been using tring with CCCam and Newcs all last season, switching to Conax cam for start of month updates but sometime over the last month or two Newcs I think has developed an issue, when using the tring card only Tring Sport News clears when there is nothing of anything to watch on, none of the other channels. I found today when a game is on (asia cup) tring sport news goes as well, but use the conax cam all is well.


    It's in a Tm9000 at the moment so not sure if there is Oscam compiled for it easy to get but I do have a Vu+ solo on order as it's getting time to get more with it on the receiver stakes.

    Heres what you can do if you dont have oscam+CCcam combo on your addons panel. Download and install CCcam2.1.3, download the latest Oscam file for mips. Rename the oscam tar.gz file to oscam, ftp to /usr/bin and chmod 755. Find the CCcam2.1.3 script in /usr/camscript and edit it with the contents of the attached script, chmod 755. The attached script will allow you to start/stop oscam/CCcam with your softcam manager, it starts oscam first then CCcam2.1.3 15 seconds later. Ftp the oscam configs, How to - CCcam + Oscam Tring to the correct folders and restart CCcam from the softcam manager.

    Since I've recently failed to have Newcs read my Tring card I now have got Oscam installed on the TM600 box, but doesn't seem to be able to read the card.

    I have pretty much the posted oscam config files from the howto. Anyone any Ideas???

    I'm using internal reader, though I think I may have been expecting to much from perhaps an old version - blue button had r1851 available, however I have forund newer binary to replace and so looks to read card now, going to test channels!


    The best I could get from the TM600 with Oscam was channels clearing for up to 10 seconds. I've given up on that box and setup with Oscam and CCCam on a VU+ uno instead. So far looks ok, though the re-groupsed channels in Tring Plus had me thinking something wasn't right for a while.
