  • i have tried dreamup and the web browser but i cant get any activity going on in the box does not seem to be loading or removing image .It is a genuine dreambox please help me somebody ?

  • im new enough to this is that the cable that connects in the service port and the pc
i have ip of box and i can connect through browser but it says when i try to flash new image invalid image

  • I think you are mixing things up.

If you want to flash with DreamUp do not use the web interface on the box.
Then, simply connect the box with a null cable and connect to it with DreamUp. If you have IP box, you can type it into DreamUp with your computer's IP.
Then press the connect and turn on the box.
It is then pressing the flash and select the file, then it should run.

Alternatively, you can flash via WEB interface. It's a little less safe, but can easily be done. Hold the power button when you turn on the box.
Wait 5 seconds and call it up on the IP address.
Select Update, select the file and flash.

It can tease a little, Firafox works best here, but it is different.

Remember having a valid image when it is an original box, you can download it from the dream media page.

  • i can connect to the box via web interface
I have downloaded the latest image from dream media but when i go to flash it it says invalid or old image and nothing happens
I dont use dream up when i try to flash by browser

  • I had the same problem trying to flash my box. Wouldn't flash via browser kept saying that pli4 was older or invalid imagine. Dream up didnt work till I went to dreambox official site and downloaded drivers for windows 7 and it flashed fine after that try that might help
