I've installed CrossEPG correctly however every day it has EPG data missing for a random channel for a few hours. I have to download a CrossEPG update via the Blue button for it to show the full EPG data. Sometimes I have to do that several times before it shows anything. I use AutoBouquets if that makes a difference and I also have a channel list installed from the LinuxSatSupport Addon.
Is there something else I need to have before CrossEPG will work properly? I read this somewhere which is from a guy having the same problem as me which makes me think that (it's for Open TV but you get the idea):
QuoteDisplay MoreThe EPG is sent on one of the channels on transponder 11778V 27500 2/3. Probably the one labelled "IEPG Data 1".
Normally on a full scan or on up to date channel list this transponder will be saved on your box and CrossEPG will have no trouble accessing it.
The problem is the channel "Service type" is now 130 or 131 and some (all?) images identify this as a DATA channel. I do not save data channels in my channel list and always clear them all out. Therefore, I did not have the transponder on my channel list at all and hence CRossEPG could not find it.
By rescanning this transponder and changing a few of the channels to Service type "2" RADIO (using dreamboxEdit) the EPG channel is now permanently in my radio channel list and CrossEPG works great again.
What is that guy talking about and how can I do what he said? Or can someone please tell me what I need to do to get CrossEPG working properly?
