Newbie flash

    HI guys , i have been browsing the forums for a few days now looking at how to flash my box with a new image. I am currently using dreamboxuk, but have been advised to change it to openpli4. would this image work with my DM800HD?
    This would be my first attempt at flashing and a bit worried that i would mess it up. any information or hints would be greatly appreciated.

    You didnt write if is clone or original, but anyway
    There are a lot of images to select. Just watch out version of image and of your box.

    I am a newbie myself but have learnt lots the past week.


    First - find out what SIM and SSL (second stage loader) you have on your box.


    Then, browse this forum in the DM800 Clone images section for a large selection of images suitable.


    Personally, I upgraded my SSL first and then tried a few different images, finally settling for an open PLI 4 image for now.


    I used the DHCP/web browser flash method.
