CoolTV upgrade nag

    Because of issues I had had with CoolTV 7, I have reverted to 6.4 - issues resolved. However, now I get a nag screen every time I exit CollTV Guide saying a later version is available - how do I stop this?

    Have never come across this on any version of cooltv...
    check in plugins/cooltvguide and see if there´s an option to option "NO on autoupdate"
    The version I am currently using is v6.1.0 which doesn´t have such option but don´t suffer that "nag" either..

    Unfortunately there is no such option (that I can find) in the CoolTV Guide setup pages. I went back from 7 to 6.4, maybe I should go back further - I have 6.3 but nothing earlier. However, I do believe the nag message only started in the last couple of days - Very Strange. Would be interested if anyone else on 6.4 is getting it.


    Quick edit: A few days ago I undated the firmware to BH 2.1.0.1 using the BH facility. It seemed to update more than just the firmware (a number of packages). I am just wondering whether this has been tagged on from then, since (maybe) the upgrade noticed the newer version, but it (maybe) cannot be upgraded automatically??

    The insurmountable problem I have with 7 is trying to move forward on the timeline. If I use the right direction arrow key it moves one time slot at a time, however to move forward much more (eg to the next day) this takes ages. If I hold down the right direction arrow key (as I did with all previous versions) instead of advancing the timeline it skips down whole pages of channel - but keeps the time constant. Absolutely useless!

    incompatibilities could be due to various/one reason(s) ..
    But hey ,,, I simply don´t use plugins that don´t work for me but am forever grateful to those who took the time to build them.....

    i use next button on mine to skip forward 24h at a time, im using a phillips prestigo mapped to my original remote will dig out my proper remote to see if its still working as it did, the only thing i had to change which was altered was red button got remapped to something other than zap and exit

    I hope I didn't sound ungrateful for the effort of those who provide plugins, and the problems may well be a growing incompatibility with either my image (BH) or box (Vu+ Solo2). It's just that earlier CoolTV Guides were superb, but more recent ones have introduced changes in my setup which don't work well for me. The current issue (as in the original post) is that keeping on a previous version which does work for me now brings a nag screen.

    Installed cooltv 7.1 on my alien2 running Hyperion v3 runs fine been in 3days now my epg has stopped tried force reload and just unknown command message any ideas

    If your running things on the enigma side, then ftp into your box and goto here:


    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/ (replace the cooltv folder with the upgraded version)
