Help on MAG 250, Please

this is all I could find on compatibilities ...

rtp	Play the string in the format MPEG2TS. If URL begins with rtp: , the RTP stream shall be played, if it begins with udp: , the UDP stream shall be played.
rtsp	set required codecs if additional information on the stream is present, for example, H.264, AC-3 ,etc.
ifm	Play an audio stream Internet radio
fm	Play audio from MPEG-TS stream (udp:, rtp:)
ffmpeg	Play files in various formats: avi, mkv,mpg, mp4, mov, wmv, AC-3,
ffrt	Play MPEG-TS stream from the http server.
ffrt2	Play streams with http, rtmp, … container but there may be no MPEG-TS. Looping content is always on (SetLoop(true)).
ffrt3	Similarly ffrt2, but assumes no realtime stream. That is, with the ability to position itself on the content.

you can use any link from internet no need provider
except those with flash
it is not necessary to have a server if you have appropriate m3u file.
if you want to play a m3u file for simple tv then you have to restream it using rtmpdump or nginx-rtmp

yep, that´s what it says in post #21 ....
but I Ihave also read that if some of the streams are down then it disrupts the whole list..I can´t confirm this though..

I know nothing about the mag apart from it being a very awkward and fussy box but
have you tried from webif while the stb is on that channel or a different free chanel?
remember you can only streamdirectly from webif when the stb is off or has a free tuner or from same transponder..

tried with receiver in standby the streaming lights up but nothing on mag250, I thought it might be a use for the box as I only bought it to have a play with, should of saved my money ;-)

check out post #21 to try all possibilities adding the prefix first to the line..
The other thing is I dont think mag has a flashplayer..could be wrong mind..
