Use an FTP tool like Filezilla to connect to the receiver, then navigate to /media/hdd/movie folder..
Another option is to disconnect the HDD from the Gigablue and connect to the laptop with a USB to SATA cable..

I've got a VU+ with BH 2.1.4.
I'd like to to the opposite: copying from an external HDD to the internal one, also as a backup. But FTP will do that in years.
In VU+ there is a specific function, FileBrowser but it seems unable to copy a whole folder, just a single file. Or it's me unable to do that?
I also tried the cp command by telnet and it didn't do anything.
Is there any plugin more effective for enigma2?
es file explorer Pro ftp in box I can copy 20gb under 3 mins. Been using for years.
