And, is it true what gobi2000 says in post #678 that, in order to be working, "for this script you need a tv-sat cam, logger and sniffi for your cpu model of the receiver"?

In my case, neither of them updates. Despite all the config lines exactly as they were recommended here, and despite of the fact evrything is what it has to be, it does not update.

despite all my efforts, every options and every parameters I've chose so far to have the local cards preferred to other readers, have failed.
In oscam.server I have, for each of my cards, this
lb_weight = 999
lb_force_fallback = 1
(I also tried higher values but it was the same).
In oscam.conf I have:

So, it's not my oscam.server the problem? Only the specific oscam you mention is able to update the emm automatically?
Because here is my oscam.server and it again did not update after the last change.
My oscam is: OSCam: 1.20_svn Build: r11725 Compiler: arm-oe-linux-gnueabi
and I've got a VU+ Ultimo4K with OBH 5.3.009 installed.
To update the emm I had, again, to launch it by the webif but the strange is that if I try by the URL line in the webif itself (in the file path field), I get an error message:

although the same url perfectly works in a browser and the same emm in the website worked, as always.
Anyway, I paste my oscam.reader in case anyone would check if something is wrong. I deleted from it this line

I ask because it seems that, despit it has the las emm, oscam.server isn't unable to update the emm by it.
Tonight the emm was updated but the above link points at the old emm from 17th Oct.
So, I couldn't test whether the oscam.server lines work or not.
I know this is an old thread but it's quite well done and the issue specifically treated.
And it is an issue that's really driving me crazy. I have studied all the oscam wiki sections, although they oftem seem like the help of motherboard BIOS setups... almost telling us the obvious!

It seems to me that the most recent versions of this plugin are too much IPTV-oriented and they find less servers for normal channels. That's why I'm using an previous version.
IPTV it's a shame for real TV watching: uncomfortable, unreliable, without subtitles and without quality, usually.
I really dislike IPTV.
It's a true pity that this plugin has not been updated anymore and now it has problem with the enigma2 python3 images (that means all of the main ones).
It's a pity because the distinctive plus of this pugin is the alias feature, something totally unknown to EPGimport.
So, I have a lot of channels, now, without the EPG, although I could pick it from other channels with the same names, because the alias script it's not compatible to Python3... Pity, pity, pity.

I've been using Autotimer for years but it had never happened what's going on in this last period: it adds timer that shouldn't be added. I've always checked all my autotimers parameters (search strings, above all) but there is no explanation why it keeps adding a particular series.
I'd like to know if there is a LOG file somewhere specific for Autotimer: does such a logfile exist?

The script has no problem, maybe your device is the cause... Have several people had the same problem? ! If only one person has the problem then and not a general problem... your device or the image you are using has a bug...
Exactly, is the only file MacOs western... but why on earth the need of making thins strange? My image is perfect and there's no bug (as a mod from other forums and experienced and advanced user) but, in general, if you save a script not in UTF-8 in OBH 5.x, which is py3, this causes crashes. So, I repeat: why on earth risking odd behaviours just for a not standard encoding in a simple text file? I really do not understand the need.
PurE2 is mad like Kodi: it's for children who are attracted only by scenic thing, not by real substance.
OpenBlackHole is the most complete, elegant and confortable to be used and customised: every menu is where it must be and you don't need to play with the remote, as in stupid PurE2 (pure stupidity) to understand from an icon where's the submenu you need.
And, again, the freeserver.sh script is not UTF-8.
Why do you create only this file on a Mac? I'm a Mac user but I don't create scripts or files in such a coding that creates diffculties to py3 images.
Is it so difficult to save it with the right encoding?

Now it was installed also under OBH 5.0 but still the FreeServer.sh is not UTF-8 and this is not good for Python3 images. Sorry if I insist, but I suppose it's not a great deal to have it correctly encoded as it had always been until a few version ago. ;)
1) As I said, oscam in my case was not involved: but surely his files are wrong.
2) dazio : I also believe that all this started on 14th December, when they got FTA, probably to help the transition process for terrestrial.
P.S.
Extracting manually from old ipk files the FreeServer.sh I was able to confirm that:
1) in 6.9.7 .ipk it was coded UTF-8;
2) in 6.9.8 the same;
3) in 7.0.1 the same;
... and so on, until 7.2.5, all main scripta of all your plugin releases were UTF-8 coded.
Then, all of a sudden, since 7.2.6 onwards, Western MacOs Roman.
No, it's not only me: this files is on your reps. I surely didn't make it by myself.
And the images have nothing to do, of course with its encoding!!! you can check this even without installing the ipk but just unzipping it.
