df042e76fea0c74cf036.pngEven 8.0.1 has the script FreeServer.sh bad coded: this never happened before 7.2.6. And might result in bizarre behaviours. Can you please get back to the past and save it as UTF-8? Thanks.

You can easily check if you have VPS installed: this is important to verify, as is the only difference that has caused the issue.
To check if you have, as I don't know the Pli GUI, the simplest way is to connect by FTP and check under
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/
or, in case Pli is different as the folders are concerned (I don't think so), under
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions
It happens to me even with other RaiHD channels but only with those which are temporarily FTA, like RaiSport+ HD, for instance.
Today has happened already twice and it's again not crypted.

I experienced many freezes and I've been investigating for weeks by OBH 5. Only when I had a spare box I was totally sure the freezes happened the same even with a totally clean image and oscam running.
I've been going on from a clean image and adding one by one something and then testing for many hours.
My conclusion (take it unofficially, yet!) is that the responsible is VPS plugin because the freezes happened again (finally) only after having installed VPS.
But then a strange thing happened: in Solo4K, after weeks of problems, unistalling and reinstalling VPS solved only after the last update.
Maybe it happened by chance.
In the other box, an Ultimo4K, the freeze kept happening and I'm now trying a different VPS binary.
But, above all, what do you mean by freeze? In my case it was a tragic, complete freeze: at times the channel stopped video but I could hear audio.
More often, Rai1HD (but also other Rai HD channels which are, since December, FTA: Rai3 HD, RaiSportHD and others) went on apparently normally, and you could watch the channel but... the box was completely unresponsive: no remote control possible, no webif, no FTP, nothing: I could only switch off.
Is your the same type of freeze or is it just a temporary one?

It was not a criticism: it was a way to say that, if one is not mother tongue, the post should be as simple as possible, otherwise either automatic translators or people risk not to be clear. Just that. The one I commented was totally unclear and then not useful to anyone.
I'm not mother tongue, too, by the way.

What a complicated sentence: did you simply mean, by chance:
"Be aware the plugin is in an experimental phase and it works well, at the moment, only with OpenATV and OpenESI"? -
If you cant install ipk from this post RE: FreeServer Enigma2 Plugin by Mino60 - v_ 8.0.0 Python 3
give this 2 command via telnet after sending file to tmp folder in your box
Great job man, on H7 openVix 6.5 work fine!!
no freserver iptv dowloading!! Any solution?
If you cant install ipk from this post RE: FreeServer Enigma2 Plugin by Mino60 - v_ 8.0.0 Python 3
give this 2 command via telnet after sending file to tmp folder in your box
Same results under OBH 5.0.011:
opkg_solver_install: Cannot install package /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-freeserver_8.0.0_all.ipk
and no folders created, not even by the green panel.
-
Try this one
Even this installer does not create the plugin folder, at least under OBH 5.0.011

There is always the script FreeServer.sh coded not in UTF-8 but in MacOs Roman.
I've been trying to let you know this issue since ages Please fix it: Python3 does not digest well non UTF-8 files.
-
Also after moving the plugin to the right path, it is not showed under OBH Green panel.

New version FreeServer 8.0.0 Python 3
iptv server 1,2,3 work for the moment...
Will this version be good for Python 2.7 as well or just for PY3?
just for PY3?
As already posted, your main script, Freeserver.sh, is not coded as UTF-8 but as Mac Os Roman and this causes troubles with Python3 images.
Can you fix this? I can do my self, of course, but not everyone is aware of that. -
Freeserver 7.2.6 Py3
Are you sure this is Py3? If so, why:
1) It doesn't install under OBH 5.0.010 (it seemes to install, but when you restart GUI, the plugin is neither listed in the plugin panel nor existing in the plugins folder, exactly like 7.2.6 py2 did when I tried it.
2) Why the same version number as of py2 one? This is confusing. We use three levels in numbering to indicate even small diffences and then, when such an import "jump" is done, the version remains the same? I would expected it to be named at least 7.3.0 if not 8.0.0 and not for a mere question of numbers but just to point at the fact it was a really different version!
-
Beware of the fact that some of your script files are codified as Western (MacOS Roman) and this cause crashes under Python3 images, whilst they were somewhat tolerated under Py2 images.

Looks like you understood nothing of what I said. Read better above messages. I was answering BextrH who said: "...I don't think mino6060 owns a server company...", something I've never said and I underlined this.
And I simply remarked that he periodically "...was able to make the plugin download good servers...".
Where is my "request" to him to do or not do something? It's the opposite: I was recognising his work and his merits! not imposing him anything!
Read better before accusing people.

Mino6060 wishes you good health and I hope it will be okay. But it is possible that, like me, it has nothing to offer. I don't think mino6060 owns a server company, nor do I and can't update when there's nothing to add. There are no other servers. Only the old ones and they will end soon. We'll buy them later.
I am sorry for my bad English.
Nobody said it owned servers: he was able to make the plugin download good servers, pulling out the bad ones.
-
Because it used to keep servers update much more frequently in the past, sometimes also every couple of weeks.
As I said, I'm not talking (only) about the plugin in itself, but of the servers it uses and finds. And this is clear from the results of the plugin's task.
But, talking also about the plugin, actually, it's quite strange that, now all open images have upgraded to Python3, he's not yet updated it.
The workaround of some months ago is not effective when you don't have al older version already installed, for instance.
-
Apart from the plugin, we are now very worried about him. Anyone who may reassure us will be welcomed.
-
the problem is not the plugin in itself: the problem is what I wrote in post#1927, that his author has not been around since October, 31th.
If he does not update dead servers, there's nothing the plugin can do by itself.
-
Why on earth you chose the ink colour black???? Don't you know this board has got a black background as default?
Leave the ink colour as it is, please.
-
The main question is that Mino60 hasn't been around since 30th Oct. and we are fearing something bad has happened.
Second: 7.2.6 in the first post IS NOT Python3. That's why the most recent posts and tries.

File name is wrong not ccccam config
File name is CCcam.cfg
Put the file with attachments in extension etc & usr/keys
turn on plugin Free Server You'll find a file CCcam.cfg coverting In the same extension etc & usr/keys
As of my posts 1920 and 1921, I noticed a problem in characters coding of the FreeServer.sh
But I now realised that Mino hasn't been active online since 31st October! I start fearing something bad may have occured to him. Do you know something about?
Please, let us informed!
