After a few tries, where it seemed that the command wget managed to reload the readers, I must say that, although it actually does it, after a few minutes the oscam stops working.

This happens either launching it as a script from the script panel, or by the Cron Manager.

The idea of simply reload the readers is exactly what I need, because it's not a problem of testing if it's running or not. As you said, oscam never stops working.

I simply need to reload readers after another script updates them ;)

Any other solution?

Hello, instead of restart and everything, I'd like to create a script to reload only its config file (oscam.server) so that I can launch it as a script or I can create a cron.

Is it possible to do that?

Since I installed OBH 4.1 I have some strange behaviours with the same oscam that perfectly works under OBH 1.0.x or BH.

While zapping sometimes I can get only the audio from the channel I zapped to, something that cannot happen if there is a real issue. If so you can't see or hear anything.

Not only: if you go on zapping and immediately go back to the channel you cannot see (but only hear from) it perfectly works.

As the same files and configurations still perfectly works under previous OBH or current BH, It seems just a sort of "timing" issue or something like that.

Has anyone experienced the same behaviour with OBH 4.1?

Since I installed the new OBH 4.1 In my Solo4K, Oscam began acting a bit oddly because it happens significantly often that a channel produces only the audio, although the OpenWebIf shows all it's OK. If you just zap to whatever channel, even FTA or DTT, and then zap back, it immediately works fine. But then it can occur, absolutely randomly, for other channels. Again, whatever zapping and zapping back, gives the video, too...

My version shows:

Should I use a more recent version? As I said, all began with OBH 4.1. while it still works fine with BH or OBH 1.0.x.

And then, how to choose a specific service to be streamed?

I have now an Internet connection with a static (public) IP address.

I'd like to take advantage of this because I suppose it should be easier to configure my box (specifically a VU+ equipped by OBH) for the remote streaming when not at home compared to the situation where you need dyndns or no-ip services. But how. Has SAT>IP plugin to do something with this? Or there is no need of a plugin in this case but only some port forwarding rule on my router?

Any advice to start with the configuration?

I found out the it wasn't a problem of BH but a problem with Solo4K which has a different CPU. So, I needed the armv7 version. Now it works with it.
I wonder if ther is the armv7 version also for VTI, the only I havent found yet.

I already got internal tuners but, OBVIOUSLY, the more you have the more channels you can record or stream.
And, as I used to use the A867 by BH, I'm looking to a way to use it also in OBH.

I've tried for a while the OBH in my VU+ Solo4K and there are a lot of thing I'm enthusiast about but also some issues.
One of the most important ones is that it doesn't recognise the A867 usb tuner whilst all the BHs I've used so far do.

I've also tried to manually install it through these telnet command as suggested elsewhere

opkg install kernel-module-af9033
opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-af9035
opkg install firmware-dvb-usb-af9035-02

and rebooting after each command. Nothing

In this forum I found to try
opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-a867

but this seems to be wrong.

This is new. After having used Movie tools for ages in my VU+Duo2 without problems, I've installed it in my new Solo4K but... after choosing the cut points, when I give the execute cut command, it writes me "Taglio della registrazione "xxxxxx" annullato" (I don't know the same message in English but it should sound like "Cut of the recording cancelled").
I tried to uninstall Movie Tools addons and then reinstall but without success.

After some days I could do no tries, I tried this:
1) completely remove again movie tools and reinstall
2) attach my old VUduo2 3,5 HDD by USB in case the problem could be linked to permissions or something of the sort
3) initialise a new HDD

but nothing worked.
As I wrote before, this is a plugin I've always used from BH 2.14 on by duo2 and whom I've installed several times in duo2 without any problems.
But, since I've got the solo4k equipped by the same BH 3.0.2 (f) it has never worked.
I don't think I'm the only one using Movie tools with Solo4K. Has anyone else had the same issue?

I've got a VU+Duo2 equipped with BH 3.0.1F.
I connected a new 3Tb HDD WD Purple through the external sata port to a docking station because I want to copy everything from the internal HDD and then swap them.
But I'm experiencing a very low transfer rate copying by the eSata port to this new HDD. It's not normal having only about 2Mb/s. How come? I tried the same HDD in the same docking station by the USB2 and it's surprisingly more performing!
The same file of only 730 Mb needed about 20 minutes to be copied via ext-sata and only 3 minutes by USB.
This is very disappointing. What could be the reason?
I don't need to say that the same docking station connected to a PC via eSata it's very fast (about 90Mb/s). Just to assure that it is not a docking station issue.

On the contrary: as I wrote, the BH version works fine without any configuration (for the helvetic...) whilst the VTi version had no success.

I'm new at VTi: I flashed it today for a duo2 and, after basic configurations, I tried O.ymode t56 specific for VTi and, differently for what happens with BH, it doesn't work with the same channels. It seems like BH (at least from 2.1.4. on, the only versions I know) has got something already in a clean installation that is needed from Oymode to work. Or maybe it's something else the problem.
What else do I need to make it work?

Actually, I've got PCs and Macs as I'm a IT reseller. It's just that, for many reasons difficult to explain here, I'd like to to do the job by the VU+ instead.
But, if it's as stevejo said, that there is no capture device for VU+, there's not much to do about...

As I wrote, "device (USB or FOR the VU+ slot)". For the PC I know there are many devices.
I'd like to connect my old VHS VCR to the VU+ and capture old analogue videos. It's simply that.

I wonder if there is any device (USB or for the VU+ slot) to perform video capture.
Has anyone tried any of them?

I've got a VU+ with BH 2.1.4.
I'd like to to the opposite: copying from an external HDD to the internal one, also as a backup. But FTP will do that in years.
In VU+ there is a specific function, FileBrowser but it seems unable to copy a whole folder, just a single file. Or it's me unable to do that?
I also tried the cp command by telnet and it didn't do anything.
Is there any plugin more effective for enigma2?
