Is longitude and latitude setting needed for fixed dish

when setting up a stb to a fixed dish does it matter if the long and lat setting are not put into the stb,

Longitude and Latitude co-ordinates are only needed for a motorized dish using usals. Set your static dish like in the image below..

thanks for that master g,its just i am having a bit of a problem with 1 of my stb,i have 2 stbs on the same ip address and one is working ok and the other one is only opening some channels,using a twin lnb & 80cm fixed dish,have done a channel scan but still no joy,would this problem be a faulty lnb

swap around the stb's and see if problem goes away

Check all connections, cable line as annie12 wrote , swap the boxes or cables around and see if it solves the problem...
