why can't i get oscam to work on any image other than old Nemesis

my replacement sim 2.10 eventually arrived so it's time for me to setup my DB800SE HD clone as server, i've got it up and running but damned if i can get oscam to work on it.

i've got the latest luigi modded openpli image on it and like every other image i other than my old old Nemesis image can i get oscam to work and i find this really strange.

first question i have put the config files in /etc/tuxbox/oscam/config is this correct? as usually on other images as we know they go into /etc/tuxbox/config.

i think that the oscam version is 9077, can someone please help me sort this out.

whilst waiting for any replies, i've downloaded and installed MasterG's 8631 version it appears to have overwritten the installed the orginal version and worked straight away thing is my ecm times have vitually doubled now 170ms whereas it's usually 90ms or so, and i would like a later version as i want it to update my card.

the files of course go in to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam and not as i posted above.
just installed version 9454 now i cant get any one to clear just as always.

i wait patiently for the solution lol

sorry to say boss it's the same old same old story i've loaded the file first by overwriting the existing one rebooted nothing, so i tried deleting file file from /user/bin and copied the new one there again rebooted and still nothinhahg.

as i say the oscam that came bundled with the image did'nt work your one the 8361 did.
but that's it, so i'm still stuck...... why can i never get any of the newer oscam versions to work on the newer images, mind you come to that i can never get the a newer oscams to work on any image lol.

no i can't access the webif.

the first telnet command is giving me the start option and the 2nd option is giving me oscam not found which is true my first attempt i did'nt do it right the 2nd time i did but oscam is not in /usr/bin.

i've just tried uploading your previous version although software manager is telling me file installed in both cases there's no oscam in /usr/bin...................very weird.

only had a chance this moring to test, but it seems the problem is that openpli in not transfering the files either by file transfer DCC or telnet.

i thought that by ftp it was appearing to complete the action to quickly when telling that files had been transfered, but they never have.

i've had enough of this bloody image there's a clean version of newenigma2 out by rami maher i'm going to try that instead.

well I've tried and tried and nothing.

what I have found out is that the script file goes to /etc/init.d that's new for me.

I've tried with both versions 9790 and 9791, I've managed to install them by telnet, and can get nothing to clear, I've tried with my config files in /etc/tuxbox/config and etc/tuxbox/oscam/config I've tried giving them an .opkg extension and without an extension I've tried with MasterG's preinstalled files as well, I have chmod the files as 644 and 755, I've rebooted and rebooted and rebooted some more and it just aint having it.

I have the binary file in /usr/bin
I have the script file in /ect/init.d
I have my configs in either of the above mentiond locations.

anyone got any suggestions please.
