help with keys

Hi. I have a Vu solo 2 receiver(genuine) and I am trying to use some **** via ****** 1.38.

A friend of mine sent me a folder I ftp-ed to the receiver and everything was working.

After that I changed the softcam.key to add more ****, and no key was working.
So I replaced it with the first .key that was working, but again nothing was working.

Any suggestions on how I could solve this problem?
