  • HI everybdy, I'm new to this forum.

    I'm looking to try and use my current sly subscrption/card to view my channels that I pay for through my XBMC using OSCAM, CCCam, smargo reader and VNSI on my ubuntu 14.04 LTS server which I use for my backend. I'd be grateful for any information in doing so.

    Thanks.

  • Hi snifferdsx and cazuela,

    I currently use xvdr and vnsi through xbmc via my TBS 6985 quad tuner card and have all of the UK free-to-air channels and have a couple of front end XBMC devices around the house to play through. I am currently looking to merge this with the sly channels through xbmc using my sly card and a smargo smartreader. I have been having difficulties with CCcam where it is not picking up the CAM. The code in terminal comes out like this;

    13:38:57.345 CCcam: starting CCcam 2.3.0 compiled on Dec 16 2011@15:45:16
    13:38:57.345 CCcam: ======================================================================

    13:38:57.346 CCcam: dvb api3 detected
    13:38:57.346 CCcam: create 1 cam device(s)

    13:38:57.356 CCcam: readKeyfile: cannot open /var/keys/AutoRoll.Key or not found
    13:38:57.356 CCcam: static cw not found or bad
    13:38:57.358 CCcam: parsed 929 entries from /var/etc/CCcam.prio
    13:38:57.360 CCcam: added 837 provider names from /var/etc/CCcam.providers
    13:38:57.362 CCcam: added 929 channel names from /var/etc/CCcam.channelinfo
    13:38:57.363 CCcam: server started on port 12000
    13:39:01.363 CCcam: no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler

    Does anybody know how to troubleshoot the no cam devices issue? Or tell me if the issue looks ike it is something else from what they can see?

    I don't want to have an external box, but want it all to play through my XBMC Gotham13.1 on Ubuntu 14.04, is that possible? OSCAM seems to be working for me though, just need the CCcam part now, I think.

  • Thanks snifferdsx but I already have my linux system set up as a media centre so can see why I'd need to have openelec on a USB when I already have XBMC running on other devices, so I can use the to stream TV and my other media?
