  • Your log looks like a bad-flash as so much failed on boot?

You say you can flash ssl82 image? Is this correct?
If yes? Then do so again, then when done & image is running, put back into flash mode & then flash bootloader ssl84b

Lets know if ok after that

If my post helps hit the Thanks ;-)

  • i didn't understand your question,

    1. i can flash back ssl82b boot using dreamup
    2. reboot or not ?
    3. flash an ssl82b image ?
    or
    1. flash an ssl82b image
    2. reboot or not ?
    3. flash back the ssl82b

btw - what is the importance of the ssl82b so much?

  • I'm not asking the Questions m8? You are !
I am trying to help you ;-)

If your receiver runs when Flashed up with ssl82 image yes????

Then do so again & let know if receiver is working ok

If my post helps hit the Thanks ;-)

  • lets start a fresh here ok...?

at the moment do you have receiver running? or not?
running noCAerror repair tool in satdreamGR toolbox, should put receiver ready to flash with new image.

    good luck

If my post helps hit the Thanks ;-)

  • hi
    to summerize
    1. receiver isnt working
    2. i can flash almost every image by network, i sometimes feel like "flash gordon" already...
    3. receiver stuck during load showing only booting screen image, stalls for a few minutes than reboots and goes through these cycles endlessly
    4. tried to run "noCAerror repair tool in satdreamGR toolbox" but it just gives me "no such file or no file found" popup and disappears, - means i couldnt operate the nocaerror from the satdreamGR toolbox not that i perfromed it on the DM and it failed, i couldnt get the nocaerror from satdreamGR toolbox to operate.
4a. for instance the dreamup clone from the satdreamGR toolbox did operated on my box.
    5. performed a nocaerror report with NCF3.0 from yassinov but no help too...
thanks for all the help and patience

  • i think it is seated properly
when i remove it box LCD goes to display "error"

maybe the sequence of operation is not correct, maybe i do not do the reboots in place
maybe the order of 82b image and ssl82b is important, i do not know...

    1. update SSL82B using NCF tool
    2. should i reboot or not?
    3. flash via the network an 82b image

  • watched clip, & it looks like receiver just needs reflashing?

as its apart remove the tuner & try starting again..
if still the same? put receiver into flash mode without the tuner fitted & flash your ssl82 image

    good luck

If my post helps hit the Thanks ;-)

  • yeah, i did all that, i think there is a certain hw failure i cannot put my hands on, thanks for all the help!

    hi
i tried that but no luck, same results
    the flashing do complete properly,
it starts booting shows boot screen and stuck - than recycle,
it is stuck even before the routine that tells the fans to rotate, the fans are stuck
i also had a problem with my usb dok before it ended in this situation
mabye i'm with the USB circuitry HW problem,
is there a way to bypass the usb and see if the DM will wake up?

    Shambi

  • yes, tried with all the cables and even the LCD removed!
some how the USB is operative only when it is in flashing period,
otherwise the unit doesnt even reach the stage in the SW executing that tells the fans to rotate/give usb power to the fans

    hi
i measured voltages across the board and capacitors,
    i have 3 big fat capacitors 4700uF/10V in a row - C118/146/222
right after the 4 thin 2200uF/6.3V

on the 4700uF i measured only a few millivolts of voltage, could that be my problem?
