Hi Guys,
I have noticed that Irish channels seem to have slower Ecm times than others and this is causing glitching even locally here in my own house.
Any ideas?

Most people sharing sly cards are in the same boat, "they" are attempting to stop Cardsharing with "their" cards.
That probably answers my thoughts on why the other channels clear ok without glitching, but Setanta Ireland, Setanta 1 and Box Nation keep freezing and with high ECM's.
Another novice question if I can??
Seeing as Rte/TV3 etc are free channels is there a way of tuning these in separate on my box?:58_002:
Which receiver do you have and can you receive saorview/saorsat?
You could look into a usb terrestrial tuner (saorview) or a ka type lnb pointed at saorsat (eutalsat 9deg east although this will only give rte / no tv3 or 3e)
They are not free channels ,FTA, as you call them..
First you need to have a current tv licence for terrestrial services.
Secondly they are under the s.l.y package on 28.xº E.
if you are referring to saorview or saorsat then yes, you could set up a ROI bouquets similar to catseye settings..
I have a VU+ Solo2.
Under the s.l.y package they are glitching.
Ideally if I could have them completely separate it would be perfect. Can you explain how I would setup ROI bouquets please?
I'm a little confused. How will this work?

You add a usb tuner to your solo, something like the one the site sponsor sells:

This will enable you to receive saorview channels alongside satellite channels on your receiver.
You then could create a ROI bouquet (channel list) for saorview using dreamset/ dreambox edit and send it to your receiver.
This bouquet will show up alongside your existing ones.
Your epg should then update once you select a saorview channel.
I have this done myself and it works great.
