hi should all repos be there for xbmc because there nothing in there and try to add them myself it freezes cheers

right got them working finally I got superrepo install then installed addons working a dream now just one not working that's navi x keep getting script error

im using this back up and cool epg just keeps green screening ive done the last fix on page 1 still the same is there another epg i can use? or a fix/ the xbmc thing is easy i found but i have atv 1 and 2 is there a way to stream my duo 2 to my atv 1 open elec ? that would be cool

I don't know if it will work with the atv but ive got it working with my mx2 enable live tv in the settings then goto addons disable addons look for vu+ / enigma 2 client configure in general put the ip of the duo then advanced and put the user and password as if your using ftp (root / etc) click ok then enable that's it works perfect so now instead of recievers just got mx2 boxes round the house all work perfect at the same time even got the vu+ in stand by

This is just a test with only a handful of addons to see if it can be shared this way but should be useful to anyone that has not used xbmc on vu before or got stuck trying to get it working. You will need a proper ftp client like Filezilla for transferring the folder which can be found here.

How to use
1. Download the attached file then extract it to your desktop.
2. Make sure in your image your HDD is mounted as /media/hdd then ftp to that location & look for a folder named .xbmc if you can not see it then enable this option in filezilla.

You can delete the .xbmc folder but just in case this doesn't work i suggest just renaming it so it can easily be restored, if you do not have a .xbmc folder then it could be you have not yet run xbmc on your vu+ or that it has installed to the root of your image because the hdd was not mounted when first run. If you do have it in the root of your image delete it as it will fill all available flash in next to no time.

3. You can now proceed to transfer the folder to your hdd, simply drag the extracted media folder to the root of your image as shown below.

Once this is complete restart your vu then launch xbmc.

What epg problem???? Have you set up crossepg for your needs? have you setup cooltvguide?
I have installed this backup and don´t have any problems with any plugins,settings, etc.
Try changing to default skin and see if it continues to crash.

Not sure how to set it up any help would be gratefully recieved

Question why use a memory stick for the EPG data when I have an internal HDD

You can use the internal HDD if you choose buddy..... but everytime you go into your EPG the HDD has to start up etc. Storing your epg data on a memory stick you will access to it instantly......

Its all about access times then if I put a memory stick in the back of the vu duo 1 and configure it for RW it should work great

Put a memory stick in the back of your duo2 and then mount it as media/usb

Done but still getting green screen when I press the EPG button have set up menu setup epg panel rytecslyuk open tv no all others yes
path is set to media/usb/epg.dat what am i missing set up crossepg as per instructions sent earlier
