hi lads need help again had to get some homeplugs as the other half is lookin to put christmas decorations up if i dont get them working ill be getting hit with the christmas tree lol ive a dm800 and a dm500 the home plugs are solwise anyone no how to get them to work i thought home plugs were plug and play? thanks lads

I bought a set for my dad and they were plug and play,, no drivers or special installation needed..
With one plug the ethernet cable connected the router and the other plug connects the dm500.
So you would need two sets of plugs if you wanted to connect both the dm500 and dm800. -
What vision have you got, I seem to remember that there was a setup utility that needs to be run for initial setup. ( long time ago mind a mate of mine had them in his rented flat)

gerry mate ive got 2 sets ive pluged 1 into my router and one in my dm800 cant get in it 2 work rebooted the system and the dreambox still getting nothing tried it in my pc connects straight away

While were on the subject i need to get a pair to use my dm500 in the bedroom, can anyone recommend a good make.

Turn on DHCP in the communication settings on the dm800,, reboot everything and check to see if its being recognised..

i had that allready down gerry mate when i do a network scan its says every thing is connected

ive the set utilty set up on my pc its showing up on pc but not getting no channels on dreambox

Since you have enabled dhcp has the ip address of the dm800 changed ?
Check to see if the port is still open.. -
Ten i know two differant people that use this model,,
DEVOLO 1145 dLAN duo HomePlug Adaptor Starter Kit..they got them from pc world for under ?50 -
gerry the ip address is still the same and ive checked ports there open i can even get into the web interface on the dm800 from my pc

Have you checked the c line is still in the cccam.cfg on the dm800..
Also check cccam info from your debian server to see if its recognising the share on your network.. -
if i plug the dm800 into another modem and wireless router it come straight on but with the home plug connected its seein nothing in cccam info

update ive it working in dm500 no problem which is my sever and i dident have to do anything else. all sorted lads it was a mistake on my behalf which i should have new i was usein a different modem and router with my dyndns address forgot when sharein though same network u use static ip address of sever lol
