Have you downloaded any new skins on to your box???? or is it a clean install of the Apollo image??
-
Reflashed and working. Blue hd. Wow what a beautiful skin
-
How do I make a full backup of the image incase something goes wrong?
-
ViX has its own original backup manager built in.
Blue button > ViX > backup manager = this creates a plugin and settings backup which can be restored back to a ViX image
Blue button > ViX > image manager = this allows you to create a full image backup as well as the ability to download images directly from the ViX server and flash them directly without a USB stick, also known as couch flashing.

mehh maybe if you like that s.ky uk branded rubbish, personally if I wanted a s.ky skin i would use a s.ky receiver.
-
Will give that a go so thanks, first time using these images.
What skin would you recommend? I liked the smooth look of the blue one lol.
Also is crossepg good for this or any better?
Thanks!
-
Personally I always go back to using the default ViX Night HD skin as it does every thing I want and need I am not a fan of s.ky uk themed skins, EPG wise ViX has no rival, no other team comes any where close to ViX in this area except maybe ATV who use our code for this.
-
So do I delete crossepg from image and use epg in menu, where does vix epg save too?
-
CrossEPG is just the plugin that downloads the EPG data it is needed by the image so dont remove it or you will break the image. by ViX EPG i am refering to the Graphical EPG screens and the other various EPG screens within ViX that we have spent tens of hundreds of hours developing over the last 4 plus years.
-
Oh I see. When I go into epg location it won't let me change from internal flash? Usb is inserted
-
You will need to format the USB to flat 32 then mount it on the reliever blue button vix mount manager then green button setup mounts select media USB then green to save the receiver will then need to be restarted.
You sound then be able to store the epg to usbHope this helps

In the infobar there is a green circle with a downward pointing arrow that flashes constantly, any idea what this is?
-
It means there is an update available for the image buddy.....
-
first time using vix and I'm lost. lol
- - - Updated - - -
If I update will I lose everything?
-
mount the usb stick
- - - Updated - - -
if you do an online software update no , if you flash by usb yes
-
I just noticed after I mount the usb, my picons that are on the usb no longer work, any idea how to fix this?
-
Lads, when I make a full backup of my openvix image I unzip itto my desktop.
Place it on a USB stick that I have tested, but when placed in the vu zero it just boots as normal. No attempt to flash is made?
I've attached a screenshot of what is in the folder when I inspect it. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
-
It should only be the "vuplus" folder you place on the usb stick you want to flash the backup image with..... looking at your screenshot you have imagebackups as the parent folder which contains the vuplus folder.... just cut Or copy the vuplus folder across to your usb stick....
-
Sorry my apologies.. the screenshot was to show what was inside the folder.
When I tried to flash it was with just vuplus folder on USB.

just tried again to make sure and still not working?
-
try formatting the stick before you add the vuplus folder then try again
