  • Hi

Every morning at 06:57, my card card server stops and doesn't work until I manually have to reboot server. Any idea? See log:

  • Funny enough it does the same for me.
I believe in crontab there is settings for min hr day month year that can set different restart times.

might be wrong but its default for 6.57 am.

I dont know if you can delete the contents of this file.

    Shwonk

FTP to /etc folder and open crontab file. Put # in front of the offending commands / scripts or remove the lines altogether..

  • I have a similar problem but mine can stop anytime. Hasn't done it now for a few days.

Completely random and can do it twice a day sometimes. I then have to manually reboot my server each time.

When I look in oscam it shows the reader but the client is gone.

likewise clean install eliminated the problem for me i haven't had it since

  • if you cut out the crontab with # its not going to go off

crontab is working as it should cutting off your server at 6.56
    but its not restarting oscam

    you need to look at

    Code
    */1 * * * * root /var/script/OscamCheck.sh

thats what starts oscam again if it not running

make sure you have that script
and inside the script the spelling of oscam matches what you have called your oscam

    and

    Code
    chmod 755 /var/script/OscamCheck.sh

same in the crontab the spelling of the cam matches your cam

if you change cam names and dont tell the script and crontab the cam wont start

    example

    you have CCcam.x86

and swap the cam for cccam_2.1.3

script and crontab both are looking for CCcam.x86

    cam wont start at 6.59

if you use oscam and cccam
again both cam spellings must match in the scripts and crontab

just to add if you have blocked the cams in the crontab with #
your server will run and not reboot everyday

    but
if and when you do reboot your cam will not start
as there is nothing to turn it on
    unless you use the terminal
so not a good idea to block it with #

  • Not sue if this has anything to do with it but when I was running using my PC it never did this. I have since upgraded to a quad core server and was fine for about a month and then this started.

Would it have anything to do with it?

Going to upgrade to the latest version of oscam to see if that sorts it.

Also forgot to mention the server is 64 git.

Is there a 64 bit version of oscam I need to install?
