Card sharing help

Hi

For sat you do need a dish to get the signal, once that is sorted you need a box. The box depends on how much you want to spend and what you want the box to do. If you provide a budget may be people can suggest what box to get.

Once the dish and box are sorted you can than look at CS.

hi guys i'm yet another NOOB to this and wondering if you could point me in the right direction i've purchased an AMiko 8900 preloaded with E2 but i haven't a clue how to set it up . i've performed some scans and found alot of stations but they are all scrambled i've spent approx 13 hours at trying to configure this and now at a complete loss any guidance would be most appreciated. !!:54_002:

hi Stevejo thanks for the reply ! i'm new to this so not sure how i'd even go about getting that i've read abit about oscam and ccam but i haven't a clue how to even configure them.... the box has a plugin for oscam i thought that would get me the channels ?

Thats just a softcam you still need a card or share from someone read up on oscam cccam is crap on that type of box

thank stevejo i found that out alright hence the reason why i've left oscam on the box i'll do a search on the forum i'm sure there's a noobs guide to configure once of these boxes. My head feels like it's about to explode ! you mentioned getting a share from someone else can i ask how i go about doing that ? or am i reliant on finding it over the web? i've read bad things about sharing sites which from what i understand i can avoid? apologies for all the Q's !

To get a share, you should give a share.
Lets say you want something from europe but are unable to subscribe due to your location, you then have the option to subscribe to some package that is within your location and offer this package to share in return for the european (or wherever) package you desire. Hence the word sharing.
Some start off with a cheap porn card and use this to get the shares for the packages the would like but remember, the package you subscribe to must be desirable to the people your looking for shares from.

thanks Codar is it worth creating a NOOB thread for people like me ? i couldn't specifically find one :16_002: i'll review the forums rules as i have a few questions that i need to ask but don't want to breach the rules .. i have the correct image and oscam on the box i just need to find these codes and figure out how i apply them through DCC appreciate your response and help !

so guys i've been doing a bit of digging if i was to subscribe to a full package with a service provider i could share this card with family friends etc and limit the number of family through Flines in my oscam config? same thing applies for multi room viewing instead of paying for each box i could share the card with all the same channels throughout my house again via Flines? my next question is how do i get the code from my card? and how do i add the code to oscam which my amiko 8900 is currently running or is that too broad a question? i can see some folk slapping their foreheads with this question ....

Oscam does all this for you, reads the card and serves the card to other receivers. (if set up correctly)

you need to do alot of digging etc on forum mate as official cards once partnered to new official hd boxes block out when putting into a dm500 or similar,read up about thompson hd boxes tuts because there is away from pairing from one hd box to an older version once you overcome this oscam and mgcamd is a good road to follow when you have learned how to edit these cfgs

Thompson hd boxes won't work for hd sharing anymore i'm afraid. (afaik)
Hd content for sharing is very limited at the moment on 0963. (bt, espn and one or two more)
Most sharing is done with sd paired cards. (unless you know something that has eluded us, which, if you would share, would be greatfull to all members to be honest)

not for hd mate but thompson boxes are still been used to update entitlements for the minor hd and the rest of the sd channels even though some softcams do update the cards.personaly if it was me i use the thompson way even though they have blocked two ways off updating there still is a secret back door lol

thanks for the input lads master G is helping me out on another thread with setting up oscam etc so i'll post my replies over there rather than this one to keep it relevant !
