I wonder if there is any device (USB or for the VU+ slot) to perform video capture.
Has anyone tried any of them?

Are you wanting to capture on a pc or on the vu

you can capture any video to vu+ hdd or usb with vlc
you can capture with wget via telnet to vu+ hdd or usb
you can use rtmpdump or livestreamer via telnet to vu+ hdd or usb

As I wrote, "device (USB or FOR the VU+ slot)". For the PC I know there are many devices.
I'd like to connect my old VHS VCR to the VU+ and capture old analogue videos. It's simply that. -
Use you pc then far less complicated no such device

If you have a PC with a FireWire card you can buy an old mini dv camcorder with av passthrough. Connect the VHS player to the camcorder, camcorder to PC and capture to PC.
There are cheap USB capture devices available on ebay/amazon but they are a bit hit and miss and the quality is not all that good.

Actually, I've got PCs and Macs as I'm a IT reseller. It's just that, for many reasons difficult to explain here, I'd like to to do the job by the VU+ instead.
But, if it's as stevejo said, that there is no capture device for VU+, there's not much to do about...
