Hi all,
So I have found good boot image and loaded onto zgemma s2 box (vix) and changed settings to how I like it.
Question is, how do I make and image of this box to load onto 3 other boxes of the same !

I tried this but it makes a .tar.gz file and when extracted it does not look like the correct file structure.

All new images have integrated tools to make a backup, format a USB stick in fat32 and insert it into the receiver. Now from menu you can create your backup that will create the zgemma folder.

No it does not make the zgemma folder, neither does it make the correct file structure. It makes the exact same as my first post..

What folder structure does it make ? Can you not extract the tar.gz, then create the correct structure for it ?

From both the image control panel and Ts Panel backup app it makes firstly a .tar and then when i look inside that rar it makes 3 folders. etc,usr and tmp.
The Zgemma structure is nothing like this so i am not sure whats going on here :) -
Which are you using, Backup manager or Image manager ?
Backup manager will backup your settings only, like network & tuner configuration, channel list etc. Image manager will backup the whole image, which is what you are after.
BTW don`t use TSpanel to backup this image.. -

I prefer Blackhole images and this is a vix appollo image.
Works nice but i always make a backup as it saves time in the long run.

hi please can someone tell me how to backup an image using openpli ive been always using openpli and would like to know how to backup my image I used to use backupsuite for the cloud ibox but when I use it with zgemma and try to flash the new image onto another box nothing happens I alweays have to use a fresh image on zgemma
