  • For people who want to watch UK Channels in Spain
Currently a company called ‘Arqiva’ are leasing a transponder on this satellite.

The service is called "BBC-Satback" which provides "emergency back up feeds" for the UK Freeview system, should the Freeview mast relay service lose its feed from their parent transmitter.

    Encryption used: BISS encryption

Weakness of Encryption system: Since early 2012 some satellite receivers have been able to open the encryption using "codes" from the internet but note this such hack are illegal. Not every box set top box can do this.

Freesat is free anyway so why would anyone want to hack it?

It all comes down to location, in some parts of Europe the astra 2 signal is unavailable but Intelsat 907 @ 27.5W is available as an alternative.

    Which Size Dish?

The reception of this Intelsat 907 satellite in Spain, is very strong, and could easily be received in most of Spain on an 80cm or 1m satellite dish.
    Which Box?

The SAB Sky 4900 has an unofficial modified firmware available for download that can accept BISS codes:

Go to the desired channel and press the 'INFO' button 4 times then you will get the BISS key menu.

Edited once, last by mckee25: Links for keys removed. ().
