how to make a server

dear.
i am very new to this world. i download ubantu. and installed it. but have no idea how make it as virtual server.
i try to read all thread but not able to get. how to start it.can any one help me.

With the help of u people. I have insatiably the ubantu ccam server. I just fallowed the steps as give in tutorial .but no knowledge further. What to do with ccam.con fig file,port forward and ip updates. I read these thing. But to do with these. Plzzzzzzzz help me. Thanks to admin and master g
