also make sure you format the card to fat32.

i found the format tool and my lappie card reader didn't like each other, so i went and got a usb card reader.

I used that and the windoze format tool, and the win32disc manager now everything formats and installs perfectly.

Not saying go and buy a usb device, but sometimes the avaliable devices/progs are not up to the job.

best regards and good luck: canthackit

  • Thanks canthackit I have the card formatted to Fat32 for sure but what I would really need is a step by step guide leaving nothing out because I'm doing something wrong along the way.I have got to the point where
I'm ready to put it away. I might see if I can get someone to do it for me.

    Cheers.

  • right click on Win32DiskImager run as administrator select device on right hand side for the sd card,to left of side of the device is little blue folder thats what you need to import rescue file, click on write that's it Win32DiskImager will do the rest, if you need teamviewer we ll do it tomorrow evening

  • Thanks busman for your reply,I followed your instructions as far as clicking on the blue folder
which brings up a window entitled downloads and I have to click on a window called file name
which has a drop down menu with a file named c:\f2\documents\wetek-OpenElec.img which
I open and click write which it does successfully but does nothing when I put the card in the Wetek.
Where am I going wrong, this is the most successful I've been.
