  • Hi all,

Sorry yet another person asking for help with my cccam setup!
I've got a shiny new VU+ Solo 2 box, all working great so far, however after installing cccam 2.2.1 (and then later removing and trying 2.3) and putting a cccam.cfg file into the correct location. I'm still getting black screens on the expected channels.

The setting appears to be setup correctly, it starts ok and is set to autostart too. I can also browse to the internal cccam plugin webpage where i see it is connected to my provider, which by the fact it shows how many cards they have suggests it is connected to him ok?

But i still just get a black screen on those Sly channels.

Could someone please point me in some direction of where to look, or test what I've got wrong?

    Many Thanks in advance

Signal quality ok ? All freeview channels working ? Any premium channels working ? Have you tried using another emulator like oscam or mgcamd ? While on a premium channel press OK button to view the infobar, do you see full signal, emulator used and server details ? Which image are you using ? Which location did you place the CCcam.cfg ? Do you see any valid ecm coming from the server in CCcamInfo ?

Just because a server shows it has cards doesn`t mean it has any packages available..

  • Sorry I've missed out a load of info!

I'm running OpenVix, latest version (box is brand new from WoS). All freesat channels fine, but no premium.
I've not tried oscam of mgcamd as I currently have a cccam, but could request an N line.
Signal strength and quality are excellent.
cfg file is in correct location in root\etc

The cfg file you've attached there contains a lot more info that the one I've created, from which I found a guide online for, I've just got c: dnsname port user pass.
    Is mine completely wrong?

    Thanks for the quick response!

Download oscam from the image plugin menu > softcams or use the attached file.. Restart enigma2..

Extract the basic dvbapi config then FTP to /etc/tuxbox/config folder..

Convert the C line to a [reader] with CCcam2Oscam > Add the converted C line / [reader] into oscam.server file and save.

Start oscam from softcam manager / blue button..

Oscam webinterface can be accessed in a browser with (change the ip address to your own receiver) http://192.168.1.92:8888

  • Great will give this a go.

From within the converter app, can you describe what you mean by "Convert the C line to a [reader]" please? What's the [reader] bit?
I've loaded the cccam.cfg into the app, can see the save as oscam.server button, but am not getting anything converted.

    Thanks again for your help.

Also, is there a reason why you're suggesting moving to OsCam?
Should it not work correctly using cccam.cfg?

    Cheers

it is connected to my provider,

Dont like the sound of that, especially when you don´t mention that your "provider" isn´t getting anything from you!!
Read the rules before you post anything else bud ....

CCcam uses a C: line to connect to the server, whereas oscam uses a [reader].

Paste the C line into the top box > press Convert to oscam button > Copy and paste the [reader] from the bottom box to the oscam.server i provided in the dvbapi configs or click the save oscam.server button, then FTP this oscam.server to /etc/tuxbox/config.

My logic in trying a different emulator is if it doesn`t work in one try the other, if its not working in either its more than likely a problem with the server..

  • Hi,

Sorry if i have broken a rule, I'll try to tread more carefully!

So firstly, I've tried to use the converter software as described, but oddly, the convert to Oscam button just does nothing at all! I can't figure out why either....

Secondly, came home to find it all working! Great! How weird though....
Is there anyway of checking the cccam connection status like you can on a skybox? Or perhaps there's a log file to check if having problems?

    Whilst you're there...... ;-)
Sorry, I should probably start a new thread, but is there anyway of getting movie channels to show full screen and not in a letter box view?
I'm set to 1080p, I've tried "just scan" & "pan and scan" settings, but neither make a difference. All other channels are ok

Thanks again for you help and time.

** Update. - converter software works fine on Win 10, but not server 2012!
