Every time I load a new page today, my "Notifications" jumps from 38 to 7 to 18 to 5 to 2 to 45 to..... When selecting the drop-down, they are all "New post thanks/like alerts" but when I click on it shows "no results to show." So I can not clear it. Not a big deal, but a little annoying that I have to check it to see if it is not a pm...
Did Prophet fall asleep with his finger on the Thanks/like button??? :)

Don`t worry about it guys, we are trying out a different thanks / likes mod that has a click thanks before seeing attachments feature.. This requires us to import previous thanks from the old Post Thank You Hack.. At the moment there is a bug with the new version, when the thanks button is clicked it doesn`t do anything. Will be sorted ASAP..
So pleased that I had 35 new thanks and then find that others have 2227. Back in my box.

Seriously though this thanks demand is crazy. Surely thanks is your way of saying you appreciate something. Having to say thank you before you even know what it is is just an ego trip for the poster and totally false. I am always happy to thank people for useful downloads and info but I won't even bother to check posts of people that make thanks compulsory. Just my opinion.

I agree and its not a feature i will be using.. But we have started to see posts where people are adding passwords to their files because downloaders are not pressing the thanks button, which is giving admin more work to do removing spammy thank you posts. So this may be a solution to keep everyone happy..
I know it could be a lot of work, but what about removing posts with password protected files?
Although I do understand sometimes password protecting files posted on file sharing sites - but then they should post the password along with the link...
Just an update on this.. We managed to get [DBTech] Advanced Post Thanks Like working after finding the conflict with another modification..
