  • hi can anybody tell me what the cws keep alive does and what the difference between writing
    CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
    CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000

    and just writing

    CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60

    both work for me but which is better to use??

    also what is the benifit of writing lan server1 or wan server1 at the end??
    thanks

    CWS_KEEPALIVE sets the time in seconds when MgCamd verifies there is still a connection with the server..

    lan server1 - local area network (internal connection) and wan server1 - wide area network (external connection) is used to identify whether the server used is coming from within your own network or an external source.. Setting this on the end of the CWS line has no real benefit and doesn`t affect how mgcamd will work..
    Example:

    Code
    CWS = 192.168.1.92 40000 login password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1
    CWS = some.hostname.org 40000 login password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan server1
