I replaced my daughters DM500 for an 800hd, I fitted a usb and set-up the epg, I dont know how but I think I accidently hit backup (image I think) and now the dreambox is stuck halfway through the bootup progress bar.
When i hold the standby the display shows Sim201, team #82, the dream800sim2.com, dhpc (but no address) 'Stop'.
I looked around the dm tutorials but have not managed to find how to reflash from that screen (help please).

Are you sure that the ethernet cable is correctly inserted in the back so it the router will be able to give it an ip address??
If so, you might just have to flash via dream up!
It will take 45 - 60 mins from past experiences..

When your reflashing like the i'm prettty sure it has to be ethernet as the wireless usb drivers will be erased during the flash...
So that seems to be your problem!

yes, i can get a connection with the ethernet cable, but the password/username is not being accepted, i guess its the same problem, need to go for a USB-serial converter
Hi can someone please explain if i need the bootloader and flash for a SIM 201 #82 and if possible, a link to the correct software as I dont want to damage may dm as Ive only just bought it and i am on vu+duo

Why would you need a bootloader if the image you are flashing already has a bootloader patched in it?
Just either flash via web browser.. Or use the serial dream up method...
Make sure its a clone image you are going to flash...
thanks, I have hooked up my serial cable (I used the same cable about a year ago to flash my own 800hd so the cables ok), I have installed 'dreamup V1.3.3.4.' I have followed the on screen instructions and when it says switch on the dreambox, I switch it on and it hangs still saying switch on dreambox.
Could it be the serial port protocol, or something ,ore sinister. my serial protocol is Com 4, 115200,8,none,1,none

Go to device manager in the control panel of your pc and make sure its com4 the serial is using...
yes, the port is com 4 and shows ok glen
mate a small advice if you like
connect to internet by cable not WIFI
then flash one new image with ssl 84
now take you box back and connect to internet with usb
may better this way

ok, have flashed and updated transponders, I am trying to put cccm in but cannot find the add on, also the blue button suprised me as it does not look like the blue button cccam funtion, how do i get the cccam into the dm pleasae
From either TSPanel or manual install using files from BlackHole Softcam Collection For All Providers E2.
I have the file in :/tmp on the dm i extracted it but just have two files of the same name oscam_ccam with extensions tar and ipk, but i do not seem able to activate it. ahh?
If the file is in /tmp/ press green then yellow, manual install package.
the green button opens plugin browser but the yellow is not shown and does nothing when pressed lol
Oscam5960+CCcam213_E2_bh.zip is what I have in the temp folder on the DM master G
Putting a zip file in /tmp/ will not work, you need to extract that file then transfer the ipk file.
