weird HDMI problem with shd 8900

    Hi,
    Ive got openatv 5.1 on my alien 8900 SHD, I noticed if i put the tv off or change input for a few seconds that when i try to go back to the HDMI input that the alien is on there is no longer any video signal.
    The tv says no signal and only after rebooting the stb with the switch on the back does it come back,
    Ive got openatv 5.1 on it but I am going back to 4.2/
    any ideas bout this?
