Just come over from CCCam, mainly so that I can get my local card updated every month without fiddling around. Most of the following queries and observations come from looking in the Webif
I was getting this error in the log:
"c (dvbapi) ERROR: ioctl (CA_SET_DESCR_MODE): Invalid argument"
but searched and found this fix -
oscam.conf
[dvbapi]
extended_cw_api = 2
Can anyone tell me what that does and means versus OE2.2 which is the other option.

"emulator" shows up as a reader - anybody give me an explanation of what is going on here?

in my live log I see, for example
"(ecm) localuser (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx): found (834 ms) by xxxxxxxx (#/1/2/2)", where # = P or L or F etc.
What do the letters and the 1/2/2 mean?
So far am very happy playing with this great piece of software - thank you to the developers and helpers here.
