    do i need to buy server first to install cccam to it?

    How were you intending to share these cards without a server ?

    Are you setting up this server for your own viewing or are you creating a payserver ?

    thanks for reply master G. I have changed to test1 test2 in the N line but still not working. wonder if you can see anything else.

    if i disable the N line and config. the cccam file for the smargo then that works ok. so i know that side of things is ok. must be something to do with the oscam files.

    This is your problem, remove all lines in your cccam.cfg relating to the smargo cardreader.

    Is it possible the ip address has changed since you reflashed the box ?

    Also i dont think the ViX image comes with a password, so you will have to add your own to gain FTP access.

    Open DCC and as normal make sure all ip`s are correct...
    Clear the password in box provided
    Click reconnect
    Go to telnet
    Type "passwd"
    You will now be asked for new password.. type your new password
    You will be asked to retype your new password.. and the letters you type may not show up.. but all is OK
    Confirmed
    Now go to configuration page and click on reconnect.

    The user and pass you have setup in account dont match the n line you have created.

    [account]
    user = test1
    description = for local mgcamd or DVBAPI
    pwd = test2
    disabled = 0
    uniq = 1
    group = 1
    au = Foxtel
    caid = 0963:000000

    N: 127.0.0.1 10000 cccam cccam 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

    Mgcamd as client has faster channel zapping than CCcam.

    It works best with CCcam 2.0.11 as server, all other versions of CCcam cause picture freeze and glitching.

    You also have the benefit of adding keys that will open some premium channels.

    If you’re anything me, you’ve Rooted your Android phone and you’re looking for all of the coolest apps available to you. For a long time I’ve been looking for a great app that would allow me to remotely access my HTC DROID Incredible using VNC. Why would I want to remotely access my phone you ask? I’m lazy. No, just kidding. ;)

    Benefits of remote access:

    Access to your phone if it’s not immediately with you.
    Ability to create a screencast.
    Faster screen shots.
    Access your phone if you’re at work or school and don’t want to look like you’re on your phone. ;)
    etc…

    Well, now I have discovered Droid VNC Server. Created by onaips at the XDA forums.

    Droid VNC Server is a great little app. It’s not without it’s bugs, but the bugs that I have do not even come close to outweighing it’s positives. While I have not officially seen any confirmations of Droid VNC Server working on the Incredible, it does work quite nicely for me. In regards to other Android phones, your mileage may vary, but you can check out onaips blog to see a small listing of confirmed functional devices.

    Ok, enough talking. How do I use this thing?

    Step 1: Preparing your computer

    You will have to be sure that you have a VNC Viewer installed on your computer first. Here’s a quick list of programs that can be used:

    Code
    Linux – Remote Desktop Viewer (However, I use the command line). Remote Desktop Viewer is pre-installed in Ubuntu.
        Mac – Chicken of the VNC.
        Windows – RealVNC.

    Step 2: Preparing your Android device

    Code
    Scan the QR Code at the top of the page to be directed to the Droid VNC Server page in the Android Market.
        Open Droid VNC Server and tap Start Server.
        Suggestion – Connect to a wireless signal that your computer is also using. (I have not yet tested USB & Verizon does not support VNC through 3G)
        Feel free to modify any of the options in Menu > Settings. (I’d recommend a password)

    Step 3: Connect to your Device

    Code
    Open your VNC Viewer of choice and type in the IP:Port that you see listed on the Droid VNC Server home screen.
        Type in your password if needed.
        You should now see your Android Device!

    Some helpful things to know:

    Some possible incorrect keybindings: (I have a feeling this is an Android thing…)

    Code
    = sends +
        ! sends ~
        ~ sends 0
        < sends *
        > sends #

    These are important to know: ;)

    Code
    home = home
        right-click = home, also
        pg up = menu
        pg down = call
        pg down long press = redial most recent
        esc = back
        del = back, also
        end = phone sleep
        type = from the home screen random typing will initiate google search

    Here are some instructions for using VNC through USB:

    Code
    I have heard that USB will provide a faster VNC connection. With adb installed and the device plugged in via USB:
    adb forward tcp:5901 tcp:5901
    adb forward tcp:5801 tcp:5801

    Using your preferred VNC Viewer, connect to:

    Code
    localhost:5901

    Eutelsat W3C begins Long March to 16 East

    Eutelsat Communications has announced the successful launch of the W3C satellite by a Long March 3B rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in China.

    The Thales Alenia Space-built craft will replace the Eurobird 16, W2M and Sesat 1 satellites that currently reside at 16 degrees East. 56 transponders, 53 at ku and three at the Ka-band will serve broadcasting and telecoms/data markets.

    A high-power footprint has been optimised for direct-to-home broadcasting in Central Europe and will anchor the 16 degrees East neighbourhood as a point of reference for satellite TV in the region, serving over 11 million households.

    High-power coverage over Indian Ocean islands will support the expansion of pay-TV and accelerate digital switchover in Mauritius and Reunion Island.

    A wide footprint serving Europe, North Africa and the Middle East will serve markets for data networks and newsgathering.

    Speaking after the launch, Michel de Rosen, Eutelsat CEO, declared “Our sincere appreciation to Great Wall Industry Corporation for the excellent performance of this launch, and to Thales Alenia Space for their dedication to this sophisticated and challenging programme. This is a new milestone, achieved only 14 days after the launch of our Atlantic Bird 7 satellite.”

    Both Atlantic Bird 7 and Eutelsat W3C are expected to enter programme service before the end of the year.

    no really he's not in to all that,yet lol

    I meant customer as in another of your dm500 customers, i have no problem with this as you do not sell them here but please stop calling them mates. They are your customers so its your job to support them. We will look after our members & sponsor, if you cannot help your "mates" why not ask them to join here for advice.

    Then he should get himself a sly sub & keep it in the original box, although there was some positive news this week ( Karen Murphy's case ) it remains a grey area for the time being.

    P.S one thing i have learned from your posts is when you say mate you really mean customer.
