If you are using an oscam.services file, try removing the line from the reader config.

What size of dish do you have ? You will need something big to receive that satellite in dublin, I need at least a 1.5M to pick it up near belfast.
-
When i replace the satellites.xml in dcc, var etc. nothing changes. still the old channel list, bouquets etc. Same thing happens when i send files through dbedit. The old list are still there even though db edit says transfer complete. I've downloaded another channel setting from plugins, and its turning to 16e now, but 4.8 is still a problem.
Restart dreamboxedit, click on ftp then reload settings. Upon reboot your new channel bouquets should be available.

Cheers Master G it was the boxkey. ifcforever, I have tried without the boxkey when I first setup oscam and it didn't work I have always had to enter the boxkey. For some reason my boxkey was changed in oscam server?? but now I have redone it everything now OK. Top forum Top support
PS Fookin squirrell has chewed through an ethernet cable going to my granny annexe so one box down at mo
This probably happened while looking at settings in oscam web info, it is very easy to change your configs in there without realizing it.

Sly italy doesnt need the boxid, i`ve helped setup a fair few uk cards over the past few months and they all needed it, sport and movies wouldnt show without it.

Oscam doesn't need the boxid as it can read it direct from a sly card.
Which version of oscam can do this ?
This has been discussed here before but nobody has come up with the answer. -
In oscam.server your boxid is missing or entered incorrectly.
Code
Display More[reader] label = lower card enable = 1 protocol = internal device = /dev/sci0 caid = 0963:000000 # 0963 is *** UK. [COLOR='#FF0000']boxid = XX XX XX XX[/COLOR] # Oscam can read a *** card i.d, but you can also put this # in manually detect = cd cardmhz = 357 # this helps the card run more smootly group = 1 # Oscam has the concept of groups. Only users in group 1 can # use this reader. I'm only using one group. emmcache = 1,3,2 ecmcache = 1 blockemm-unknown = 1 blockemm-g = 1 # these ensure smooth decrypting lb_weight = 101 # for load balancing - can be commented out.Use to tool below to get your key
CCcam BoxKey GeneratorThis will generate a key like ABCDEFGH
Enter it in this format AB CD EF GH -
No, i confirm it doesn't work.
I suppose that the cccam is not fully installed on openbox.
If we can ask to the manufacturers ?Probably explains why the prio didn't work either, another option is to ask your peer to block that card to you in his fline.
-
Note to all, be Very Careful when posting log files that your box id/ serial is not visible.
-
Double check the boxid in oscam.server hasnt been editted, when its just sport and movies it always the boxkey.

Hi master G
What will this Oscam.conf file do?
Regards
Lets look at the config you posted for oscam.conf;
Oscam.conf
Code
Display More[global] nice = -1 WaitForCards = 1 logfile = stdout preferlocalcards = 1 saveinithistory = 1 disablelog = 1 [COLOR='#FF0000'][webif][/COLOR] httpport = 8888 httpuser = admin httppwd = admin httprefresh = 10 httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.8-192.168.0.254 # protocols [newcamd] key = 0102030405060708091011121314 port = 10000@0963:000000;10001@0963:000000 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- JSC Sports [COLOR='#FF0000'][global][/COLOR] nice = -1 WaitForCards = 1 ClientTimeout = 5 CacheDelay = 120 [newcamd] Key = 0102030405060708091011121314 Port = 34000@0603:000000 [COLOR='#FF0000'][webif][/COLOR] httpport = 8888 httpuser = admin httppwd = admin httprefresh = 10 httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.8-192.168.0.254 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tring [COLOR='#FF0000'][global][/COLOR] nice = -1 WaitForCards = 1 ClientTimeout = 5 CacheDelay = 120 logfile = /usr/local/etc/oscam.log [newcamd] Key = 0102030405060708091011121314 Port = 34001@0BAA:000000 [COLOR='#FF0000'][webif][/COLOR] httpport = 8888 httpuser = admin httppwd = admin httprefresh = 10 httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.8-192.168.0.254This config will work but you dont have to duplicate the configs for [global] and [webif], you only need to add the newcamd port for each card.
Code
Display More[global] nice = -1 WaitForCards = 1 logfile = stdout preferlocalcards = 1 saveinithistory = 1 disablelog = 1 [webif] httpport = 8888 httpuser = admin httppwd = admin httprefresh = 10 httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.8-192.168.0.254 # protocols [newcamd] key = 0102030405060708091011121314 port = [COLOR='#00FF00']10000@0963:000000;34000@0603:000000;34001@0BAA:000000[/COLOR] -
Sorry i made a typo it should be , not .
so try
no { 0:0:2, 100:3315:0 }Just tried this on a vu+solo & it did block all 100:3315 cards.

its strange the signal would be so bad, as I've been using it with WMC with no problem, its a dual co-ax cable so maybe I'll hook the other one up tonight and give that a go. The box came pre-loaded to scan 13.5 and 19.2 and I had no idea how to add 28.2. I did try the freesat box and it was perfect, so it must be something to do with a dodgy connection or something. Will read all the links above, get rid of the 2 unneccesary sats and rescan with coax number 2 tonight.
More likely your sat.xml is old so the box is looking for these channels on the wrong frequency's. There have been a lot of changes on 28E this year.

Try using the fix in post #4 of this thread.
-
Sounds like your satellites.xml file needs updating, but first try loadind a ready made channel list such as Catseye E2 Settings File

Hi,
i have a big server with locals on 0100 and 0500.Sorry from your first question i assumed you have a server running which fed your openbox. On a normal server you could do it like this to block the 100
C: example.dns 1200 user pass no { 0:0:2. 100:3315:0 }
But i am unsure if this is possible on openbox as i have no experience of it. -
dcc296 is an ftp tool for windows you don`t install it on the Vu+, double click on dcc.exe within that folder.
Dont download picons from the addons panel, they are outdated use them from our site HERE.
As long as the picons are in a folder called picon then they will automatically show, put them on your usb drive.
For swapfile, Blue > Blue > swapfile settings > Create/Green > select the usb > 265 mega > Activate > Autostart
If you have any problems setting up picons or swapfile then make sure you have setup mountpoints and mapped the drive to /media/usb/ in device manager.

It is far more effective to filter what you receive from each cline and do away with prio file altogether, this is also better for your peers as you can block all non working cards.
