So are you still getting freezing on some?

Using this image myself for the last week, i can confirm this fix works.
-Ftp file to the /tmp folder
-Go in to addons panel (blue, blue)
-Select 'manual package install'
-Press 'ok' on the file, select 'yes' to install
-After file installation is complete(about 30 secs), select 'yes' when asked to restart enigma2.enigma2-plugin-extensions-webinterface_working-edg-nemesis_silsila-dm800.ipk

connect with dreamup and you will be able to reflash.

You wont have knackered the box, what is the error message?
I imagine reflashing will cure it but you may need to use the null modem cable method. -

on your windows pc go start run type cmd then enter.
Now dos command window will open, type ipconfig/all
this will show you your subnet mask. -

is there a "best" F Line format that has lowest possible ECM times?

You need to setup a hostname HERE if you havnt already done that. Then add that info for this step.
Dont setup a static ip address on the debian, leave it using dhcp.
Make the ip address static on the router. -
