i do have a dynamic dns account which is updating . i am using cccam 2.14 on ubuntu6.06 as server and one box on the network.is this the box which is my server box?

Sorry i missed that you are using an unbuntu server, forget the dhcp and box. What you need to do is go to your router setup page and assign the unbuntu pc a static ip address.
If the isp was changing the ip the dns updater would detect this and adjust accordingly, the problem here is port forwarding is set to a specific ip and the box ip is changing.
You will only need to do this on the server box,the rest will be fine as they are.
As Gaz said set dhcp to off and your box ip will remain static.
Which PLi you used?
On the PLi website I see DM800 & DM800se but no DM800HD!?
Do not use the pli website versions on a clone, it must be patched for your bootloader or you will end up with no ca error.

Attached is a plugin to view Megavideo videos and films on the dreambox - directly without pc.
I have not tested any film to the end. But videos work ok.
Important :- Megavideo videos (and films) cannot be streamed directly. They have to be first downloaded - then played. So - the download location must have sufficient free space for the item downloaded.

How you manage your server will have far more impact on the number of peers your server can handle than your internet speed, good speed does not mean a good server.
been following the users reviews of the openbox ,,,it seems to be primarily a client box more than a server/client box.
.so if you?re only going to use it as a client to the main box then you lose 1 hop down(hop1(with reshare) in dm800 gets to 2nd box as hop2)
as I say , it?s what I?ve read up to now...
This is correct Caz but an extra hop on a local network will not affect your viewing in any way. The only difference is you will not see shares which do not have reshare on the DM800.
