I cannot see this making any difference, how have you both set your flines for each other ?
try making lines for eachother like this with no restrictions

F: scoob nxyz
and enter clines without restrictions either. eg no yes,no, { 0:0:2 } ect
I use cccam 2.2.1 on my own server and have no problems connecting to any earlier versions.

I dont think it is your end mate, i had a look around and found others reporting the same problem. Hope the fix comes soon.
You need to update your keys to clear it.
F: user pass 0 0 0 { 0:0:1 } { } { } peers dns = local only without reshare.
F: user pass 0 0 0 { 0:0:2 } { } { } peers dns = local only with reshare.
Set the F-line to { 0:0:1 }
This will give access to just your local card.
Possible that the username and password on daveangels F-line is the same as one you already have in your cccam.cfg.
Sounds like his card is read by another cam other than cccam, can you tell us what card he has? and can you see it ?

This is one of the important questions, that you need to keep an eye on it, as you find genuine people and others that are less genuine when you exchange, so it is always a good practice to verify that the card you are getting is suitable for you as sometimes even when it is a genuine person his card might not be suitable for you because of extremely long ping time between you and the other server!!
So how do i test his card ?
Well there are several options to achieve this, I list a few of them.
You can use a plugin called CCcam switch. This plugin will allow you to have up to 5 different CCcam.cfg files, so you may want to use one of this config files just to put 1 C: line and then activate this profile. In this way if the other person told you he has MTV card you can physically go to that particular package and test it to see if it clears the picture. Nabilosat CCcam Autoswitch Plugin v0.2
Advantages ---> You physically see with your own eyes that particular C:line works!
Disadvantages --->You do not see the ping time directly !!
Another option is to install a plugin on your DM called CCcam Info with this plugin you just run it on your Dreambox from the plugins menu and see what cards you are getting from that particular peer. CCcam info V1.1
Advantages ---> Easy to setup and control
Disadvantages ---> You do not see the ping time directly !!
Another option is to install CCcamInfoPHP or CSStudio, with this option you can check what cards you are getting from a particular person. You must verify what cards your are getting as Hop 1 from that person and as well to check the ping time between you and the other server, it is always a good idea to remove all peers with very slow or slow ping time results as this will slow down the whole system!! CCcamInfoPHP, CSStudio
Advantages ---> This is the best option of all as you get the most information you can get about your CCcam
Disadvantages ---> Not easy to setup the first time.

Sid assign arrived with 2.1.2 i think the prob is the lack of a guide on how to use it, b16mcc made a great tool and there is also the auto assign option ( both covered on this site ) but this is very under used in cs.
Correct mate, same with sid assign it works on your local only, if everyone sharing a card used one of these features cccam would run faster for all FACT.
Maybe an idea to try deleting the older cams first, then rebooting and installing the new cccam.
To be honest I would use an image designed for the eagle box to avvoid problems.
I foud the Eagle image very good, but at the end of the day its just another 500 clone.
