Fox Sports and the Barclays Premier League have ordered Dutch service providers to improve their security in order to prevent subscribers from sharing access to the subscription sports channel.

Fox Sports has reportedly contacted satellite broadcaster CanalDigitaal stating that they must use a certified HD receiver or CI+ module in order to deter card-sharing.

M7 Group, the owner of CanalDigitaal, has informed Dutch digital TV service TotaalTV that the Fox Sports channel will only be available through the certified receiver or module henceforth.

I'm not sure if were on the same page here but it sounds like a overscan issue, ill explain.

we all know that overscan is bad and best turned off but even then some studios do a piss poor job of standardising the formats they release and thats why you sometimes see "junk" around the edges of the picture.

You could also look at the Xtrend ET-4000, and the IXUSS Media link Zero, both are good boxes and most importantly both have a MIPS cpu not a crappy STi one.

The GM, Amiko Alien, Icecrypt and nBox receivers aren't worth a wank in my opinion as they are not proper E2 boxes. The general rule of thumb is if its not got a Broadcom MIPS CPU, its not a proper E2 box and never will be.

I could not agree more. It truly baffles me just why people buy this trash and the price point does not make sense when you consider the xp1000 and TM nano have a full and legal warranty plus official image support for less than £130.

The old saying that you get what you pay for still rings true, so dont be surprised if you get a pile of crap by simply going for the cheapest ( clone ) option, especially as to the cloners quality control is a cuss word.

Nahh that's not true. All willl happen is the receiver wont boot and will require a reflash. Loading the wrong bootloader or a image intended for a different model is another matter entirely.

Last time I tried my diablo 2 ( was a v2.3 that was soft updated to the newer v2 ), well over a year ago it worked fine in my Uno. Although there pretty much useless these days ( the diablo not the uno ).

There are literally hundreds of channel lists or bouquets available for the E2 platform of which this box is a member. Not to mentio several automated bouquet makers that will do it for you.

Dont just blindly open port's without knowing what your doing as this is the easiest way to open your box up to being hacked.

Support for the uno is still ongoing and will be for many years to come but I also agree and say go with the Solo2 if you can afford it.

Remove the lid and look to see if it contains the secret chip used to overcome the Vu+ security measures. Bear in mind that you wont get support for a Vu+ clone here.

I use two different harmony remotes with all my receivers including a solo2 and have never had a issue with it not working properly once setup correctly. perhaps the problem lies with cooltv and not the remote / image ?.

you may not realise this but a factory reset does not remove previously installed plugins it only deletes the user area of the receiver sending it back into the FIW or first install wizard, every thing else is still there.

maybe first try to establish if you have been sold a clone in the guise of a original unit ? and go from there.
