i cant speak for any one else but we ( ViX ) still very actively support this and all other Gigablue receivers with almost daily updates.
you can see what has changed in the ViX image by reading the changelogs.

I always do and thats the primary reason i get banned from a lot of forums, people just dont like to hear the truth, i wont sugar coat my opinions just to prevent hurt feelings on another's part.

if you really believe that then it just goes to show exactly how ignorant and deluded you really are.

yes the USB stick needs to be ext3/4 for the sawp file to be set.
menu> setup> system> hard disk> initialisation.
if your using the ViX image there is a very powerful backup manager already built rite into the image.
Blue button> ViX> backup manager. creates a backup of settings, plugins and other files you can set your self.
Blue button> ViX> image manager. creates a full backup of your image as it is now, this image can be flashed back to the receiver via a USB stick like any other image.
unfortunately it's almost impossible to gleam any useful information from that screenshot, we really would need a Debug log to progress further.
I live in Ireland so I would need dual sat tuners and and at least one aerial tuner for Saorview (our crappy version of freesat). From what I can gather the xp1000 is only a single.
yes thats correct, if your after a twin tuner look towards maybe a Vu+ uno with a Dual tuner card or a TM 2t ?. both very good boxes in their own rite.
V2 sticker mate,Iv just put vix on it set it all up rebooted and it now frozen.
thanks
Should have bought a genuine receiver and saved your self the hassle.
You should also consider the maxdigital xp1000, if you compare the specification to the gigablue UE you will see xp1000 is actually a more powerful receiver.
It has double the amount of ram, a better processor and two card slots..Best of all its £20 cheaper..
a lot of people tend to forget about the XP as it;s not as well known but it's actually a very nice and well supported receiver.
or if you know how you can copy the picon feeds from one image to another and just download them directly that way.
for example.
unrar this archive and FTP the ocram-feed.conf file to /etc/opkg/ then via a telnet session issue the opkg update command.
now when you go into the Plugins menu you should see the ViX ocram picons feeds.
or if you know how you can copy the picon feeds from one image to another and just download them directly that way.
menu> setup> system> EPG> CrossEPG> download now. or if you have the option show as extension set to yes simply blue button> CrossEPG downloader.
no, it should leave any pre existing bouquets alone.
make sure to enable debug logs so that if the same thing happens you can at least send us the logs ( by us i mean the ViX team ), that way we may be able to identify what is going on.
If you can access the box via FTP then you should be able to see if there is a settings backup in the HDD folder,it could be that the image has updated itself with the allow unstable updates active.
no thats just not possible.
ViX does not have a auto update feature in either stable or unstable form, at most you will see the update icon to tell you there is a update but the user has to specify if they want to accept the update by going to the update image option, then they have to select yes when presented with the option whether to update or not.
It could be any number of causes, we would need debug logs and a list of all included plugins, plus what build the box was on etc etc etc.
rite now as it stands with so little information there is effectively no way we could provide help other than suggest a reflash then enable debug logs ( make sure there saved to a USB stick as saving them to a HDD will prevent the HDD from going to sleep and it will continuously spin as the logs are written all the time. ).

Thats likely a question you should be asking of the plugins author.
