    no i dont believe there is a way to disable power to the USB ports other than putting the box into a deep standby or totally powering it off. maybe fit a toggle switch to the fan ?.

    are they saved to the flash ? or usb ? if there on the flash move them to the usb. a EPG.dat file grows every time you update and can easily number in the hundred plus meg file size.


    i would never host a EPG on the internal flash of a E2 receiver.

    a swap file wont help you in this situation. in fact swap files degrade performance, in all but a few exceptional circumstances i would advise against using a swap file.


    do you have picons or epg saving to the flash ? do you have multiple skins installed etc ?.

    BH and therefor BP do not support cams for legal reasons so you wont find any cams in their feeds. use any generic cam for a Pli image that should work fine for now.

    BH skins have never been compatible for Pli based images unless specifically patched for that purpose. from my understanding most of the BH skins will not be migrating to the BP image unless their respective authors decide thats what they want to do.

    no i would not imaging that would be a problem seeing as the Black Pole image is based on the Pli git. The 2.0 Cfe otherwise known as the bootloader is fully compatible with all images new and old so if your solo was running a image with the 3.1.1 kernel it should not affect the ability to use this image.

  • correct tuner config for Motor dish & BH

    Im not sure about other images but in ViX you can tell the box which tuner to set as the preferred tuner. so foe example if you have a fixed dish on 28.2 east on tuner a and a motorized dish on tuner b. set the preferred tuner to tuner a so any recordings will take priority on tuner a unless there not on 28.2 east. freeing up the motorized dish unless your recordings are on another satellite location.


    Menu> Setup> System> Customize change preferred tuner from AUTO to your chosen tuner. then green to save.
