your getting your self a wee bit confused my friend.

as Ten Below has said if you have installed the cam and you can see it in the softcam manager via the blue button, you have no further need of the .ipk file ( a ipk file is just the same as a windows .exe install file / once it's installed it's programe the .exe is of no further use ).

what you need to do now is setup your CCcam.cfg ( config ) file and place it into /ETC on the receiver so that the cam can read the details and do it's magic.

people will reply to and post in threads that interest them. others prefer to read rather than jumping in to a thread asking a question that may have already been answered. others such as my self well i'm just a total post whore and i tend to accumulate a rather high post count where ever i go but the vast majority of my posts will be images / picons / bouquets and other such download related posts, along with the odd bargain that crosses my path and where i can help in the areas i know i will.

as far as this site goes it's a rather active one for a satellite and general interest forum, where i know of plenty that may have 25 members through the forum all day in a 24 hr period, you have no worries on that score here.

Also worthy of note, the OP of this thread has him self only accumulated 3 posts since February so he must not have been overly bothered after all. ?

it's all good and well asking people to use the search bar ( and i agree with you ) but it wont change the way most users operate on forums, i have used and staffed forums such as this one for well over 15 years and it's the same now if not worse as it always has been. people who spend a good deal of time on forums such as my self will always use the search bar but the hit and runners will not and sadly there is very little any of us can do about it.

personally i find it easier to either navigate the user to the thread which already deals with the question or answer it any way. unless of course it's one of the many that pop up every flaming time a frequency change is performed on $ly those just pee me rite off.

or if your using windows 7 / vista and have telnet enabled ( it's disabled by default )

bring up a command window by hitting the windows button and typing CMD into the search bar, this will open a windows command prompt window then type telnet and hit enter you should now see the windows telnet prompt.

type o<space>followed by the ip of your receiver for example

Dream Multimedia, the leading supplier of Linux-based set-top boxes, has brought a temporary injunction against Satco Europe GmbH. At the Anga Cable show in Cologne, Satco presented, among other items, its TV player VU+ Duo, and promotion for this infringes the brand rights of Dream.

Satco is illegally using the designation „Enigma“, which is a registered brand name of Dream. In an advertising flyer, Satco promotes the Linux operating system installed on the VU+ with the designation „Enigma 2“. Moreover, the designation „Enigma“ appears when the set-top box boots up.

With the temporary injunction, the district court in Düsseldorf prohibits Satco from using the designation „Enigma 2“, including offering for sale set-top boxes equipped with operating systems so designated. Contravention of the court order can lead to a fine of up to 250.000 Euros, or a prison sentence of up to six months.

This court order is only the first step. In future, Dream also plans to proceed against other producers who illegally use brands owned by Dream.

Dream spokesperson Alpaslan Karasu: „We will definitely no longer stand around and watch while competitors exploit our good name in order to sell their products.“

actually i read the thread wrong. i thought you meant a DUO not a single tuner receiver.

yeah usb DTT tuners work fine providing the drivers are available. different images can have different levels of driver support.

you can easily set the receiver up to use the motor on one tuner and the fixed dish on the other, however it is not a good idea to share a motor between two receivers.

as already pointed out yes it's possible however there is very little in the way of driver support and without the correct drivers they wont work.
