If it's a twin tuner make sure you've got the cable connected to the motor for the tuner which is being used. As when mine was incorrectly setup it kept swapping tuners and power to the motor kept switching on and off when my receiver swapped tuners. The tuners need to be set up correctly. Not ideal but worked for me I did the tongue test on the cables to see which one power came from then I put that one in to see if the light cam on on the motor

It's going to cost you money scooby, you want a box that's well supported. I've had a few clones but there not a patch on my Vu solo 2 genuine receiver, there's lots of support on here pal. I only set up my first motorised dish/server a few months ago, couldn't have done it without the help on here but a few months down the line and I'm like a seasoned pro:36_002: I may be exaggerating the seasoned pro bit

i remember once a very old and wise maybe ugly man lol (stevejo) saying why not ask your next door neighbour to connect to there wi-fi and explain your predicament and maybe slip them a tenner to use there internet for a couple of weeks?

i run mine on a solo 2 pal, once oscam is installed you can access it through your browser using your ip for your box fpor example.193.167.8.001:4000 from here you can change the configs

you can re-share your peers line to your friends , whatever reader/group number you gave your mates line that you got off him, include this in the user accounts for the other boxes
i,m presuming your using oscam as your server.
test lines imply your using a payserver which are not allowed on here pal

you carnt share his c line to your box but you can share is local or hop1 2 3 etc from him to your box and vice versa

i had this prob, i connected through the service port but i had to install the driver for the cable before dreamup would recognise the box i, it came up com5, then it just reflashed as normal, i installed the driver from dreambox toolbox

if its just updating your wanting to do fozzie just go to menu/setup/software update, make sure to back your settings up before you update
menu/setup/vix/backup
i always back my image up at the same time
menu/setup/vix/image backup
then i connect to my box using filezilla or dcc locate the hdd in my box and copy the backups on to my pc for just incase it all goes pear shaped

I thought everybody's long/lat are different as to were you are in the world? Did you get them off your next door neighbour

You can edit them in Oscam pal, go to files/ config, change what you want press save, this is the easiest way, for me anyway

i just fancied trying to set one up codar, i,m just interested in how it all works in general, i have got 2 omnikey readers that i was going to use but i,m a bit wary i dont want to do my cards in some how swapping them about or swapping them then i carnt get them to work back in the solo or worst case scenario our lass carnt watch judge rinder lol, so i thought ill set it up without the cards and have the pc as a client for now until i,m confident i know i,m going to get it it work.

should i reinstall the oscam/ccam config as ive tried deleting the ccam as i just wanted to use oscam could this be messing it up?

could someone tell me ive read and tried a thousand combinations to connect my ubuntu server to my vu solo2 server, i can connect to it when select ccam for the reader and put my dns addy in the hostname, but i thought when connecting in your home network you put your ip address and port number in the hostname, this is my config
