hello pal i,m not really in the know as i,m new myself but when i did mine i had sort of the same prob, when going to 28e from another sat it would just pass the 28e sat, i thought i had set usals right but what id not done was set the sats in tuner config, i had 1 west set but not the rest so i would get 1w but it was just out of sync for the rest, in reception in the tuner config menu i set all the sats in advanced mode to the same for all sats, this cured it for me

ive got my vu solo2 with my 2 cards running oscam, how do i connect it to my ubuntu server that ive just set up running oscam both version r10096. i,m just confused on which protocol, config to use so my unbuntu server gets the fastest connection to the Vu and shows my local cards?

how do you manage to change the sshconfig file when your not allowed to change it unless your root, am i doing it right trying to change the file connecting by winSCP or do i connect using putty

after many hrs, I've done it, that was driving me nuts, and for anyone that don't know how to enable the root account, so you can login as root on WinSCP
:~# sudo passwd -u root
:~# sudo passwd root
:~# su
:~# nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
edit line 28 from...
PermitRootLogin without-password
to
PermitRootLogin yes
Save changes and exit...Then restart SSH...
:~# service ssh restartNow you can login via SFTP as root.
once you've done what you want to do, change the config back to original

ive put in sudo passwd root and entered my new password
rebooted the system.ive tried installing ccamoscam with my username but it does not install its say i have to be root.
i can log in on the computer thats unbuntu is installed on as root but not through winSCP or putty
just comes up access denied
but if i sign in as a user it lets me in?
whats all that about?
could it be the file protocol is wrong, It says SFTP, is this right, ive changed it but its still the same (denied)i still get this message aswell when booting up

hello lads
ive been reading the ubuntu server tutorial and i thought id try install the ubuntu server on a old laptop ive got, just to see/learn if i could do it and its better than having to make conversation with her indoors.
my question is can i partition my lappy hdd and use the spare space to install it or would i have to use the whole disk and loose all my stuff of it. -
thats what was happing stevejo, i was getting low ecms when i was only connected to him(other readers stopped) then when i re connected the other readers i wasnt connecting to him anymore and was connecting to a slower reader, anyway thanks for eveyones help but ive gave him the "spanish archer" el bow
-
forget it lads ive been duped again, just been talking to him on ***pe, i thought he was a genuine peer in need of a bit of help, which i was trying to give him from my limited experience, i noticed that his ecm requests went up to 98 per min, when i asked him how many peers he had he came out with this classic,
"sorry, ive disabled all my testlines now, are they ok now"
wanted to help but not setting up his payserverlol
goodbye you txxt

yes pal my line includes re-share and i,m connecting to him ok with his host name, its only when i put his host name in is user config then after 10 mins or so my server kicks him off. i think his ip is changing and his dns addy isnt updating, ive tried telling him that but you know us newbies take a bit of explaining to and i dont really want to kick him as i think he's a genuine peer, he's just new to it like me.
-
"You are gettings someones reshare. If you only want local cards from peers just put this into their oscam.server entries
cccmaxhops=0"i was thinking i would get his local instead of another readers hop 2 or 3, his ecms are low when i disconnect all other readers so when i re connect them i thought i would still connect to his local instead of another readers hop 2 or 3 with high ecm
-
in oscam with one user when ive gave some one a line and i put there host name it disconnects the user, in the live log it says invalid ip addy, could the peer be using a proxy. its been ok for last few weeks until now, ive emailed the peer and said i need to keep is host name in my config as he could give my line to anyone to connect, but he don't know what i,m on about as hes new to the scene as well or he's bluffing me.

hello lads, i,m using oscam for my server oscam-1.20-unstable_svn-r10096
my first questions is i can see peers ip addresses, but is there a way i can see which country there in?
also i have a peer with a local card,(germany) when i turn off my other readers and connect to his local the ecms are very low 150 200 but somtimes take around 5 seconds to clear once the sat is locked, when i turn my other readers back on and turn to a german channel oscam picks a hop 3 with high ecm's, i just dont get it.
and my last, is cachex as easy as just swapping lines and putting them in oscam as readers/users?
i think i know when your watching a channel you store the cache for when you get a request, so the more people watching the same channel the less chance of getting any glitching is less, but is there one peer with a master server in the line of sharing thats saves the cache or do we just share it between ourselves, hope this makes sensethanks

did anyone spot apple 27 " iMacs for sale at £399 reduced from £1500 quid at argos the other night, obviously a mistake on price at there end, tried to buy a couple myself but they said they were conveniently out of stock, wonder if anyone got one for a bargain?
